Developer

Thank you to everyone who voted on this project. I have posted a new build version with some improvements based on your feedback.

Your world feels really well-designed. The camera with the mouse is unusable for me due to the sensitivity and the inverse controls. But just not using the mouse was working just fine :D A run feature would be something to think of to add, where you run faster, but use more oxygen.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback!

This feels like a well made game. Really nice vibe. I would say the controls are a bit uncomfortable for me.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I agree, in hindsight and with a lot of feedback the controls are quite poorly made. I've made some changes in a new build I'll upload after voting has ended.

Neat! I like the aspect of having to put on your helmet to go out of the bubble and manage both your health and oxygen throughout. I saw you're fixing the camera jitter so that's good but I would also fix it so it's no longer inverted, at least on the x-axis if nothing else. The sensitivity seems a bit high too but those are all minor things. Overall, cool and fairly deep game for the timeframe!

Developer(+1)

thanks! Ive also fixed the inversion and added an option to invert in the settings.

This is awesome. A bit punishing at times but generally it felt great. The camera is a bit twitchy, maybe a bit of lerp to smooth it out would do the job. It felt very clean visually and the atmosphere was great. Solid work.

Developer

thank you! The camera twitching is due to a cinemachine bug in 2.8.9, but it is now fixed in a new build where I updated to a later version.

I have a few post jam improvements to do myself. Just gotta rate a few more before I let myself get carried away. I will come back and check out the update

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'll do the same.

Really fun take on the theme, exploring the moon to find fuel crystals! Like others, I had some camera issues but it sounds like you already have a fix ready for after the jam voting ends, so that's awesome. I think placing oxygen barrels was really smart, cause that way I was able to stay out longer looking for crystals. I enjoyed this one very much, nice work!

Developer

Thank you! Originally I was hoping for more interactable discoverable objects like broken rovers you could repair and use, but alas the time constraint.

Submitted(+1)

this is cool! I'd also love if you could try my game!

Developer(+1)

I just have, nice submission!

thanks!

UPDATE : Turns out there is a bug with Unity Cinemachine 2.8.9 when the camera becomes very jittery, which leads to a difficult camera controller. I've fixed it with a Cinemachine package upgrade in a build that I'll post once voting has ended, along with some QOL and performance updates.

Nice looking game! Awesome character animations as well. Controls felt a bit too fast for me. But good job for a time constrained challenge!

Developer

Thank you!

Game looks and sounds great and the animations are especially smooth! Like the others, I had an issue with the camera controls which was a shame, inverted controls + it seems to snap to the player which bobs it up and down quite aggressively. Besides that, it's one of the most polished games I've seen so far!

Developer

Thanks! Once the voting period has ended I'll update this page with a hotfix, thank you for the feedback!

UPDATE : Turns out there is an issue with Unity Cinemachine 2.8.9 where the top rig of the FreeLook camera becomes very jittery, which lead to the behaviour you experienced. I've fixed it with a Cinemachine package upgrade in a build that I'll post once voting has ended. Thank you for noticing it!

I like the concept, and the frustration of dont have oxygen, i only reach 94% :/, a good game.

But, the movement is weird, controll the player and that things, and to see more far is something difficult.

Sorry if i have grammatical mistakes, i´m upgrading my english (if u want to give me some feedback i am gonna to be grateful)-Kaximau.
Developer

Thanks! I'm working on an update currently where you can use the satellites to scan for the locations of the remaining fuel crystals, as it can be frustrating when the final one is hiding behind terrain.

Nice concept! But not enough gameplay and the camera controller is terrible...

Developer

Thank you! What did you find challenging about the camera, so I can make future improvements?

Submitted

the most critical is the axes inversion.

the second is that the camera turns in jerks at some fixed angles.

and a third constraint on the y-axis that prevents you from looking up.

Developer

Okay, thanks! I've changed the axis and solved the jerkiness issue.

Nice job! Your 3D game is fun!
Five stars

Thank you!

As already mentioned, the inverted mouse. But other than that it's simple and cool.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

The visuals of the game are well-polished. The inverted mouse was kinda weird but overall nice game here!

Developer

Thanks! I'll add an option in future to toggle the invert.

Submitted

Nice game! The inverted mouse movement though...

Developer

Thanks! I trialled both inverted and uninverted with friends and I think it's a matter of preference. I wanted to add an option in the menu but ran out of time.

Submitted

I had a little trouble playing it due to the low frame rate in the browser, but the visuals are really strong!

Developer (1 edit)

Yeh, for some reason there is the occasional lag spike, I didn't have time to optimise it as I would have liked. It runs fine in the Unity Editor.

I would add an .exe version for better quality but obviously the deadline has passed.

Submitted

My game have the same problem so no concerns men!

Submitted

Not enough gameplay but funny : ))

Developer

Thanks! I had intended to originally have the player gather other resources which could then be used to upgrade oxygen capacity, repair vehicles, and more. However, as with all game jams, I ran out of time, and opted to have a finished game with an ending cutscene instead of an unfinished game with more content.

I do hope to continue developing this however, and I will add more gameplay features.
