This is good!  I like how you changed up the space bar for different phases. (although I just spammed it for tackle: didn't understand the nuances of that phase).  I just want some beeps and boops for ball sfx, maybe a run/walk effect and a crowd sfx.  GOOOOOAAAAL!

Thanks!

I imagined it as potential mobile game so one input only was the goal. The tackle phase has a bug: it detects pressing the space bar too late but not to early, hence spamming always win. You should press the space bar just as you hear the (not so obvious) audio cue. But as you noticed, I haven't had time to properly work on sound.

It always feel good hearing someone enjoyed your game. So thanks again!

I don’t even like soccer and I liked this. Space bar space bar space bar space bar space bar space bar space bar space bar space bar 🤣

You'll soon discover that the more you press the space bar, the more you'll like soc... Football!!!

Thanks for giving the game a try. I'm happy you liked it!

I absolutely loved this game. Like Drombies, I enjoyed the way you made a bigger game by sequencing microgames, instead of just mashing them together warioware style. The graphics and animation are superb, you deserve a trophy. The only things it's missing are a soundtrack and more levels, then it will be the best football game I've played.

Aaaah, Akzidenz! Your words go straight to my heart! You read my intentions 100%. I think it all comes from Shenmue. I own the 3 games but for whatever reason never played any of them. I think I want to recreate this "story told through quick time events" that I fantasize them to be. It's also a pretty manageable format for a jam.

I'm planing to post an updated version with sound effects. I collected some stadium crowd sounds during development but didn't have time to process and incorporate them.

Anyways, thanks for your kind words. They really mean a lot coming from you.

very well deserved!

A brilliant cross between an Atari-era soccer game and Wario Ware-inspired minigames. 10/10, no notes.
