Great aesthetic! Had a lot of fun with it once I got the hang of it. Would love to have more of a reason to explore the map.

cheers for the feedback! glad you enjoyed it

Great game. music was good, and the art was too. A little confusing why the cats hurt you when they are usually nice. Besides that super fun :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! The cats are supposed to be wolves, but that was the closest sprite in the art kit i could find :o

It's a nice game, I think you really nailed the feel; the audio was pretty good. Only thing I'd add to what other people said is that I think it could use a bit more feedback when you get your wood to the house; I had troubles understanding where my wood went at first.
Still, it's a good job !

Developer

thanks! i appreciate it! yeah, more feedback could definitely more beneficial, though the bringing the wood back to the cabin whenever was added right before the deadline (rookie mistake :P )

I think the game is good but has a few flaws to it. 1. I didn't know if I should be killing the cats or not until they started to kill me...usually cats are friendly :( 2. It's not clear that you can build your own fire, and I only accidentally managed to do it which kept me alive. 3. There's no point in exploring at all since the trees respawn so quickly that I would just cut down the 4 trees around my house over and over.

I think if there was a bigger focus on exploring the map instead of just cutting down the same 4 trees, it would've added a lot to the game. Either way, I did enjoy it, well done!

thanks for the feedback. a lot of the flaws you address could be resolved with more development time, as i only got to work on the game while i wasnt working my job. Glad you enjoyed it though

Nice arts, there are cute things to explore... if there just weren't those little monsters

Developer

Glad you enjoyed! I cant take credit for the art though, i used Kenney's 1-bit art pack for that! And yeah, lose little monsters are a bit of a hassle!

Loved the art style! Couldn’t bring myself to axe any of those poor cats though :(

Developer(+1)

Thanks for checking my game out! Did you win the game without axing the cats? :)

I managed it on my fourth try. The key was, be were the cats are not lol

Developer
