I liked the game! The only complain I have is the movements and some slippery blocks which can put you in a lava and make the game a bit more unforgiving. Also, I found if I shoot and change direction, the bullet follows me for some reason.

Developer

That's a... definitely a feature, totally a feature, not a bug I couldn't fix!

(Thanks though!)

Pretty cool platformer. I like how you communicate with player through writings on the background, tho I wish there would be a bit less UI that overlaps with those wrings. The content of those tutorial writings was also creating as was the general platformer elements. One thing is that controls were a bit challenging so most of my deaths were due to falling in lava. Inclusion of a boss is a definete plus.

Developer

I planned for a boss though I simply didn't have the know-how or the time to learn, though I do plan on adding one soon!A

And yeah, I agree that the game is pretty unforgiving.

This was quite challenging as the movement was quite sensitive (my game suffered from this as well). I think I got to the end but maybe I'm just stuck? There is a sad teddy bear asking me to leave it alone and nowhere else to go...

My favourite bit was the boat mechanic.

Developer

Haha, sorry about the movement! I had some challenges with the resolution and spent most of my time trying to figure that part out, and the sad teddy bear is supposed to be the boss though I should have added some indication to shoot it.

It's my first game so any advice is helpful!

Ahhhh I did try to shoot but not enough times, thanks for the tip I just finished the game now ^_^ a visible notification that your bullet has hit something would be good even if just flashing the sprite or something. I think it's a very good effort for first game though!

Resolution was a challenge for a lot of people I think, I spent more time messing around with that than I wanted to as well.

Developer

Yeah I'd usually do a filter but those weren't allowed, now that I think about it a damage animation would have also worked just fine, that's what 3 AM thinking gets you.
