  • Really enjoyed this concept! I feel this could benefit from a bit more polish with regards to gameplay, as I really struggled with some levels and only learned some of the dynamics from reading comments. Overall was still really fun and challenging to play, and well put together. Nice work!

This was a very engaging little experience! It did take me a bit to understand how the lava flow worked, so some levels were a little bit of trial and error for me. I definitely started getting it toward the end though! Really cool concept, nice job!

Very engaging entry, it's a promising concept with pleasing visuals, that needs a couple of more forgiving levels at the beginning. I nearly bounced off of it when I couldn't complete the second level after tutorial, but finally got it and was able to finish the whole thing.

You're already mentioning a better indication of lava flow in the description and that's definitely a good direction. Maybe trenches dug by the player could simply appear deeper/darker?

I really liked the final level where you're running away for most of it while things burn around you and then you save the day at the very end, it's a satisfying ending. Good job on your entry😊

Coloring player trenches differently is a an easy thing to do that should definitely help. I’ll start with that. Thanks for your suggestions.

This looks like such an amazing idea but I absolutely cannot get past the first level

Some of the puzzles had only one solution so figuring out the exact solution was somewhat challenging but overall I really liked the idea. I think it has real potential as a really neat puzzle game.

Very unique puzzle concept, and a good looking game. I like it. I played through the whole thing and enjoyed it, but it did take a while to figure out the mechanics. The early levels felt much harder to me than the later levels, probably due to not quite grasping the concept yet. If the levels were rearranged I think it would do a bit better at teaching the mechanics. But once I figured it out the puzzles were fun and the right level of challenging. Well done!

Thanks for the feedback. I will see if I can clarify that in a future iteration.

Very well made game, very impressed with how well you adhered to the jam limitations. Couldn’t figure out the logic behind how the lava would get into the ocean though… So I got stuck on the last one :(

I had some ideas on how to convey that better and I’ve been tweaking that until the very last minute. It is all deterministic and completable. The lava always moves 3 steps for each step you take, plus there is a bias towards your trenches versus the existing ones. In a future iteration I will try to add some visuals to communicat that.
