I feel like there is a lot of depth to this game I have not discovered. Initially, I clicked around on the computer and chuckled at the stuff on there - then I moved the cup and bin - nice! I almost gave up at that point thinking it was unfinished based on comments here.

I accidentally pressed R which made the game start over. This time I did similar things but at some point arrows came up to allow me to leave the cubicle. I went to the chairs, I clicked them a few times and read the quote. I also noticed the reflection on the left was a location icon. But I couldn't work out what to do and didn't have any motivation to do so because it wasn't obvious to me that it was a puzzle of any kind. But based on comments here the chairs are a puzzle that require a particular action.

I'm reluctant to open the game again to try the chair puzzle because it was kind of lagging and time-consuming waiting for arrows to show up and possibly not showing up at all. I think it would be beneficial to have a regular first-person controller to allow the player to walk around freely.

In any case I feel like there is a lot here that I have missed which I feel bad about because it looks like a lot of thought and time has gone into the game.

Thanks so much for your comment! I have already solved both of your issues. But it takes getting to a certain cubicle to clue you in. Here you go: If you press the ] key, you get some developer/debug tools including a Time speedup toggle button, which allows you to play at 3x speed if you think things are moving too slow. I don't recommend doing so if you want to play with the physics objects, though. It also gives you a button to switch to No-Clip Fly through mode instead of On-rails camera movement, so you can hold right-click and WASD move. The chairs are indeed a very simple puzzle, the clue to which is the quote posted in that cubicle. Hope you give it another shot to read the other SlackOff messages, play another Spotty track, and play with physics objects.

Too bad it's unfinished for the jam, but I do like the setting. It kind of reminds me of The Stanley Parables setting of an office worker exploring the building, but instead of comedy it's puzzle and mystery.

oh, there's comedy. I was going for The Stanley Parable meets The Office meets Portal in one big meeting cubicle. Hopefully I will realize that intention in the future.

Though it was incomplete, there were some cool things going for it for sure! I liked the story you were starting to develop with the "entangler" through "slackoff", some creative stuff going there for sure. Also the swiveling chair puzzle was really neat! I'd definitely love to see a finished, fully realized version of this! :)

I don't get what you're supposed to do.

Some ideas: click on the computer screens to groove to the tunes in the Spotty app, discover company dysfunction/culture in the SlackOff app, logout and click on arrows to move to the next cubicle. One cubicle has a totally epic chair-rotation mini game (hint is in the quote and post-its), another cubicle has some click-and-draggable physics objects (cardboard boxes, trash bins, coffee cups, file cabinets) for fun. That's about it right now. Stretch goals postjam are to have many more tunes, SlackOff messages, and physics/entanglement based mini games in other cubicles.

Even for a game that is incomplete i enjoyed the mechanics and visuals of the game. I feel this is a great base to expand on. I like the interaction with the cups, trashbins, file cabinets, and movement to other sections. Wish you had more time to complete this game! Good job on the work put into the game so far!

I appreciate your kind words. I do hope to flesh it out into a more complete experience (but not a full "game") sometime soon-ish.
