Did you work in a team?
the game was made by one person (me), doing 99% of the art / music / coding. i got some help from some friends. my buddy helped me with some enemies, and dudes on the haxe discord helped me out with programming issues.
Was the resolution a challenge?
the genre of the game is not really conducive to the low resolution. what should feel open and explorational, instead feels very claustrophobic. it was fun to experiment with, but if i was to remake the game, i wouldn't keep the low rez.
What did you learn?
i learned that even when it feels like it sucks, you have to keep pushing because there is a deadline to make.

I love the color palette and the sound of the jump. It's a cool platformer with a neat world to explore.
nice game, i liked a lot of the background graphics. not 100% sure what i was supposed to be doing :). i'm guessing finding all of yellow squares (found 3 or 4). liked how you could hear them before seeing them, like for one of them knew it was above me, then had to find out how to get there and another the same when knew it was below.
liked how notes were played on jumping, i didn't notice that at for a while, just thought it was the music :). also there was a section where a drum beat started, didn't really find out why tho.
beautiful game!
love the music and the atmosphere and the triiiicky platforming. Great work.

Very chill, very atmospheric. The music fades into the background as it permeates your existence... In one word: Flow. Love the abstract style, and the mechanics are great for this game. I just have a few minor issues:
1. The game uses subpixels, which is technically against the rules. Sure, it helps the movement feel smooth, but don't think I wouldn't notice!
2. In some sections you are forced to go through a series of platforming puzzles, with no way to go back. I accidentally went back to those several times and had to do them again. Which is great only if you are trying to make a rage game...
But those things aside, this is definitely one of my favorites, great job!
Yeah, at a certain point I just embraced subpixels, even if I take a hit on it in ratings.
The level design was pretty awkward for me. There usually are ways to go back, but sometimes they are hidden, and sometimes the level design is just not good. I think the map is pretty big for the amount of time given to make the game, and that probably bit me in the ass as it isn't quite as polished as it should be.
Thanks for the kind comments and for taking the time to play.
I love the use of pink. And the title screen is very eye catching. How do I advance beyond the title screen? Tried smashing every key on my board and clicking. Maybe it's a Safari bug?
Damn, that sucks. It might be a Safari bug, literally any key press should move you on from the title screen. Sorry it didn't work!
Nice game, solid gameplay.visually quite consistent and with nice level design. Well done!
I enjoyed both the art and the gameplay. It was very well polished for something done in two weeks, and I loved the art style. It was rather laggy for me, nevertheless I still enjoyed it.
Excellent art direction, good job!
Not sure how to put my finger on why this game had such a good feeling to it, but the ambient music and the graphic style played very well together. I wasn't able to beat it due to the controls and how far apart the checkpoints are toward what I assume is the end. Tried for a solid 10 minutes and couldn't get past the part I got stuck at.
But I really like this game. Nicely done.
Thanks. I’m not happy with the level design towards the end but I was facing the deadline then. Thanks for playing it!
Loved it! I usually hate platformers but this one had a VVVVVV vibe to it that I really enjoyed. The subtle progression to teach us about double-jumps and all the game mechanics is really well done.
10/10 would play again!
thanks! i appreciate you taking the time to play it
Loved how those "jump" sounds integrated with the music and ambiance. The colored squares and the movements of the characters and camera defied the 64x64 resolution though. A button to go back to the last checkpoint, or to navigate between unlocked checkpoints, would be nice too. I quit when I found out I had to climb the "button tower" again. Very good game nonetheless.
Good atmosphere with great music. Plenty of options for exploration. I like how quickly it restarts after dying, and how death has been used as a mechanic.
Random comment, but I love your artwork! It's funny to see you working on the same jam.
Oh, thanks a lot Aeris! I didn't actually enter this one, I'm just browsing around to see what people made :~)
Did you make one? Seeing as we're in the comments - did you remember to rate Kurushi?
Oh strange, you are credited on this game for artwork.
And yeah! Looks like you found my entry. I'll need to debug why this game wasn't running on my computer and then rate it.
oh haha! Yes, I made three sprites for Bitmapkid for this project - the long legged walking monster, the snappers and the crawlers :p I wasn't expecting credit!
Nice coherent aesthetics and tight controls! Love the juice and polish too.
