Did you work in a team?
just me!
loved it!
Was the resolution a challenge?
biggest challenge was displaying text... would have liked to get a little more on the screen, but in the end I made do with what I had available.
What did you learn?
First big project i've ever done with Godot. I love it!

I loved it! Couldn't finish yet as I was unable to find bombs. Nevertheless, I will give it another go. It really brings me to "environmental station alpha" The sounds were awesome and created just the right mood. The only point that I have regarding the gameplay were the controls... The jump was way too fast and I found it hard to control the fall... Maybe easing up a bit on the gravity and lowering the jump speed. Other than that, outstanding work.
haha fair criticism… i like things fast and snappy, but it is pretty hard to control as is. I’ll keep it in mind for future games.
Thanks for playing!
Making a metroidvania for a game jam (or in general) is a little crazy, and yet you pulled it off! The difficulty feels just right. I never got bored, wandering around looking for that thing I'd missed. The little effects everywhere are beautiful, the enemies are well animated and read well. The boss feels like a great conclusion (great music btw).
Well done!
Controls were tight, and damage effects punchy. Really fun! (And welcome to Godot!)
Unexpectedly good, easy to control, I love metroidvania and here you have managed to condense the essence of one into a great little game, I also liked the sound effects. and the filter when you get hurt. but above all the gameplay!
Loved this! Played it all the way through, I was definietly not ready for that boss haha. It felt very satisfying and fun and the game looked good, 5 stars all around haha. Glad you love Godot, it's my engine of choice!
That was an enjoyable metroidvania with a satisfying progression. I appreciated how you managed to make the enemies look completely distinct with such a limited number of pixels. The little caterpillar-ish creature ended up looking pretty cute.
Hello! I played your game on stream! If you want to see your game played with live feedback, you can find the VOD and watch from this sheet: http://bit.ly/bean-stream
Yoooo thanks for playing!
The 1-hit death you were experiencing was indeeeed a bug! Since you didn’t step on the save-station at the beginning your health wasn’t getting regenerated when you restarted at the beginning… so even tho the UI was updating to full-health you were still technically sitting at
