Did you work in a team?
Just me. I've had an idea for a space game for a while, and though this isn't quite it yet I got the chance to experiment with different ideas I had previously.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Yes! I had to make everything brighter so you could see it and crank the environment lighting. Also setting up the camera and render texture so Unity would respect the 64x64 resolution limit was a totally new experience, and it still seems to be somewhat bugged.

What did you learn?
I learnt some more stuff about how Unity works and also managed to refine my ideas for spaceship command/control somewhat.

Really nice graphics! I included it in my LowRezJam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I found this pretty authentic. But I couldn't get any enemy contacts. Suddenly it changes direction. It was confusing for me. I liked the game design though.

Love this little space game!

I found it hard to tell if you were moving/how fast you were moving unless you looked at the throttle screen. Also funny little note, ctrl + w closes the tab, which I accidentally did once..

I really like having a small spaceship environment to exist in, reminiscent of outer wilds!

I've played a bit of Elite Dangerous and there's always a certain charm to the feeling of being utterly lost in space. I really enjoyed this game for that same sensation. Fighting enemies is neat, but I just like hurtling through the vastness of space in the little shuttle. Really well-executed game and great use of the 64x64 limitation!

This is really well done for a week, and space games are my weakness, so I like this game alot. Its just not very kind in that it starts by immediately getting shot, so its a trial by fire deal.

Thanks for pointing that out! Enemy ships should spawn further away now. There was also a bug where enemy ships were way too big relative to the player ship so that's been fixed too, however that makes combat much harder now... but at least you have 15 seconds of calm where you can figure out the controls now!
