I like the look of it - I only have a trackpad at the moment and unfortunately really struggled to play it because of this.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Must have been pretty hard with a trackpad, nice job though!

good job.

Thank you!

I like this koala. very snappy! The art and the music are great, although there is some pixel-bending in the current build. I wish switching weapons was easier, keeping my fingers on WASD and hand on the mouse made T hard to reach. Overall, great work! :)

Developer(+1)

Ah those are very good points :D Thanks for the feedback, and for playing!

Definitely something strange happening with the pixels getting squashed and stretched. Otherwise, it was a pretty fun and enjoyable experience. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! And you're totally right about the pixels getting squashed, something for me to work on! Thanks so much for the feedback :)

The art style and colour choice is nice, but the sprite work needs to be adjusted to the resolution they are being rendered at. The outline of the player is lost during gameplay popping in and out.

I found it rather hard to control too, mostly because without seeing the cursor I was constantly overshooting the browser window and clicking outside the game window, causing me to die all the time!

A shame because I would have liked to play more of it, perhaps offer a windows downloadable?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I definitely agree being able to see the cursor is a must-have, so I've prepared a post-jam update that fixes the issue and addresses the sprite scaling. I'm planning on working on this project post-jam so the feedback is honestly really helpful, so thanks for taking the time to review it :)

Responsive controls and juicy gameplay/visuals.

Rendering of player was a bit hard to read at times (sub-pixels being dropped/looked like it was sprites being scaled down inaccurately).

I did the jazz audio.

Developer

Thanks very much :D Yeah I've got a post-jam update that addresses the rendering because you're absolutely right haha. Thanks for taking the time to review this! Appreciate it.

Graphics are top notch and effects are very juicy. Gameplay wise I struggled a bit, especially because the ninjas are fast and kept coming past my weapon. Maybe if the weapon was closer to the center of the koala it would have been better. Otherwise a fun game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for the kind words! Definitely agree that the ninjas are a little fast - Felt like I was getting jump-scared by them sometimes haha. I'm planning to keep working on this project so the ninjas getting past the weapon so easily is something I'll adjust in the post-jam update. Thanks for the feedback :D

Very explosive game! Good job!

I think I'd have liked to have seen my cursor though.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! And yeah you're absolutely right, I've made an update addressing this that I'll drop when the jam is over - Definitely a common sentiment and something I wish I'd devoted to fixing for the jam itself.
