I like how you combined two restrictions, one from the jam (64x64 resolution) and one self-imposed (LCD game-like graphics). It took me a bit to figure out what I was supposed to to, but not too much, which nicely replicates the way early games worked (without any manual/tutorial, you just try out random things until you understand what are you supposed to do).

All in all, it is a fun and lovely little game. Well done! :)

Very cute throwback to the bleep-boop button games, and the sound effects nailed that feel. I was apprehensive when I went to climb up the plant, thinking I'd have to carry water all the way from the ground, so it was a relief and also very funny to see a faucet through a window!

All in all, very solid.

Pretty cool and authentic. It is good that you can pass between diagonally adjectent bags, adds some extra tension and timing challenge. It's a downer that nothing seems to happen when the plant goes all the way up.
The theme of building dwellers throwing trash down that someone who takes care of surroundings has to avoid is a perfect description of modern times, and I'm sure this exact situation has been happening around the world for decades.

(You have to press up at the plant once it's grown, to climb up it.)

If I do a post jam update maybe I'll add an arrow or make the plant blink once its fully extended to indicate what to do.

I found the idea cool to take up the games style game & watch the beep beep of the movement is very characteristic of the genre as well as the animations, what I find a shame is not to have included scoring to really go in this direction. But I had fun playing it thank you
