Tools
Godot and Aseprite; Godot was really lightweight and easy to work with. It had a bunch of built in functionality and was flexible enough to build your own tools if needed. My biggest gripe with Godot was with dealing with the jank of the my own creations . Aseprite was incredibly user-friendly and efficent. My only issue with Aseprite was exporting animations to Godot, as their was not built-in support for the .aseprite format.

Lessons
I suck at optimizing; also how to save user data

Fun game. I liked the audio and visually game also looks pretty.

Fun little mini-game. Felt a bit like Rampage or something like that. Would have liked to see a little more happening - moving boats, airplanes, stuff that runs away or fights back.

The weapon variety was fun, but I wish I had actually stuck with a given weapon longer. They all felt pretty much the same in the end.

The music was solid, but would have liked a lil more in the way of juicy sound effects for all these explosions.

I was very confused with the graphics and the gameplay loop. Then I read the story. Makes perfect sense.  Fun, a bit senseless, but it directly feeds into my inner megalomaniac

Power fantasy and quite stress relieving. The map was a lot bigger than I thought it would be and the explosions never disappointed. Fully recommend. Great color choices too!

The lore is what really kept me engaged. Missing taco tuesday is something we can all relate to. Brett’s pain is all of our pain, perhaps the pipe bomb is justified.

Nice work though, the map was suprisingly big. I don’t think I saw the whole thing during the time limit. I liked the weapon swapping too. The palette and the art were well-done as well, nice!

A True work of art the beauty of Brett's animation combined with the majestic explosions as you destroy each continent came together to create an unparalleled experience.
