Themes
I had trouble using a theme, because I already really wanted to do some platformering. I used "They are 4096" as the inspiration for the endgoal of the scoring system.
Tools
Godot, Photoshop, Libresprite
Lessons
I learned some platformer movement with Coyote time, prejumping, etc...

A rather hardcore platformer that doesn’t forgive mistakes, which is great in terms of challenge.
It seemed strange that a single jump is essentially not needed; almost all areas are can be passed with a double jump. However, this allows you to feel like the knight in heavy armor. My fingers felt it :D
Overall, the game is very responsive, with smooth animation and a beautiful parallax background.
Very nice!
Thank you!
Graphic design is super on point here, and the game idea is a nice mix of different games! My only gameplay complaint here is the lack of more!
Sound design wise I do wish the sound jump was a deeper sound, as you are using jump the most and hearing that high pitched sfx all the time was starting to get tiring. Some kind of deeper nosie would also fit the idea of an armored jump.
Other than that, really cool entry!
the main character is really cool I really like his design, the pixel art in general is cool. I managed to get the cup back...\o/... but it wasn't easy, I find that the character slides a little and that the placement of some enemies is really naughty..
Thank you for the kind words. The enemy placement is intended to induce rage ^_^
it works perfectly
Great job on the game! The platforming controls felt responsive and the animation and sprites were smooth and well-designed. The challenge was definitely present, with some jumps and enemy placements being quite tricky. While the game is short, it’s engaging and the feedback and atmosphere are spot on. but overall, it’s a fun and polished experience.
Thanks for playing and the kind words! ^_^
Short and sweet! The platforming controls felt reasonably responsive and I rarely felt like I was jumping somewhere and had no idea what I needed to land on thanks to the combination of arrows and repeating cutbacks.
There were a few jumps into enemies that felt a little unfair, but I felt like I had plenty of health to deal with it.
The jump noise felt a little too high pitched and... wheezy for how many times I heard it in rapid succession while playing.
I appreciated seeing multiple enemy types (and right when I was thinking "okay, that's about enough of these hooded guys").
Thanks for playing! I can imagine the jump sound. I did try to make it less repetitive by pitch scaling it at random, but yea.
I really like this one. No matter how much I practice, I’ll always miss a jump or two, “$#@!”, and it keeps me coming back for more. :)

This game is very fun! The story set the scene very well before playing. The sprites and animations are smooth and pleasing to the eye! The jumping felt a little heavy off of the ground, but also very responsive! All-around great game!
This is a nice bite sized platformer. I like the pixel-art & chill music. It was a bit difficult to judge the distance between the platforms at times, but that's kind of a limitation of the 64x64 rez. Also, I suggest adding arrow key support for movement.
A bit short, but nice little platformer. Perhaps it should be pointed out at the beginning of the game that you start with a double jump. Other than that, well done. I was nastily surprised a few times with enemies on platforms I have yet to see, but I view it as a part of the challenge. :)
I think my time was 3:44 (I had some difficulties making some jumps).
Once again, well done! :)
Thank you for the kind words! ^_^ I kind of loved the monsters that appear out of nowhere, that was 100% a nice feature of the 64x64 format.
Loved it! Super tense. Around the 3000s is when my palms started to sweat a little (there’s one part with a long jump to an enemy off-screen that gave me a good scare). All-around really solid, the art and animations were great. If I had one piece of feedback, I think I’d consider adding like an extra 0.1 seconds more “cotoye time” to the jump, it felt like sometimes I’d eat a jump input by being off the platform by a little bit when I jumped, the current coyote time feels a little on the tight side. Loved the tilesets you made too. The grass area with the light filtering from the trees in the background looked great.
(I think my final time was 2:24)
Great job!
Thanks for playing <3
This is a real nice little rage platformer. I suck at these games, but actually made it to the top in reasonable time. The sprites are great, so is the sound design, though I find the music a bit happy for a game about a knight :D
It's a bit short, but the description says work in progress and I think you can easily add more content to this and I would like to see that.
Thank you for your kind words and thanks for playing <3
Really loved the animation of swinging that sword and all the particles you had from jumping. Honestly the platforming was a bit of challenge on the keyboard but I did see that a controller was preferred. Overall it took me a little over 3-4 mins to get to the top and every missed jump wasn't TOO much of a punishment so I still felt encouraged to push forward!
Thanks for playing! It is supposed to feel a little hard, but I do feel keyboard makes it a bit harder than it needs to be. I think there is room for optimization on my side for that. <3
This game felt like butter. The camera movement, the clean communication of jump locations with the arrows, and all the juicy feedback everywhere was fantastic. I very much enjoyed this game! Thank you for your submission!
Oh my, Thank you for the kind words <3
Great game, but short I definitely wanted more. Every missed jump is pain.
No pain, no gain ^_^
Great game, but short I definitely wanted more. Every missed jump is pain.
Lovely peaceful soundtrack, all of the SFX fits in naturally as well. A bit frustrating haha but fun. I wish jump was spacebar instead of W, as that's more standard and natural. The page art is very impressive, and overall everything looks good in-game as well. Love the creative blurb, that extra effort goes a long way. Excellent submission!
I feel you, I was looking for a natural feeling way to use attack because it sometimes is crucial to hit those mid jump. Spacebar felt nice for that. But I'll be honest that the game definitely feels beter on controller in my own opinion. Thanks for playing!
