Ranked from 8 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.
Themes
I used three optional themes:
Unconventional Weapon - You're fighting against terrorists who want to launch an atomic bomb.
All Systems Have Broken - The lab is out of electricity, so you need to turn on generators to create power.
Self-Destruction For Gain - It is possible to destroy yourself immediately, which can come in handy.
Tools
I used Godot 4 and LibreSprite (a free clone of Asesprite). Working with Godot 4 was easy, as it pixelates the game automatically. For this reason, it was no problem to keep the 64*64 resolution.
Lessons
I got to know with Godot 4 (I still wasn't really used to it, I was used to Godot 3).

This is such a cool idea! I wish I could move diagonally, but otherwise this is pretty cool!
I considered implementing diagonal movement, but I didn't have time for it... Thanks for your comment!
Solid game given the jam's restrictions.
Thanks!
nice job. Would've loved if my movement wasn't restricted to just x and y axis, because it didn't feel like a grid game
I know. I considered sticking to one of two opportunities: 1) letting the player (and the enemies too) only move on a grid according to the tiles, 2) allow diagonal movement for the player. But I didn't have time to do any of that. Thanks for your reply!
Good job! Could use some effects when you explode/shoot!
I know. I wanted to add some effects, but I ran out of time a bit... Thanks for you comment!
good game. good visuals, I liked it!
