The theme was "Self-Destruction For Gain". The theme helped create the game. The themes were difficult, but i liked my chosen theme.

I used Godot. Godot is simple, convenient and fast.

Nice visuals and music. The game itself is a bit difficult, maybe the level transitions could be instant so that we don't wait when trying again. Walking speed could be a bit higher too. The idea of using your overall health to open your way while also trying not to lose health unnecessarily by dying to obstacles is pretty cool. Good entry overall

or you could say it's...

next. level.

Nice game! The explosion mechanic is very interesting! Though it was maybe a bit harsh with the resetting, it added some extra challenge and risk! The story was a nice touch to set the scene, and the visuals and audio were also really nice. I had fun playing! Good job!

I love platformers and this one was tough but enjoyable!

Nice little platformer, though resetting is a bit unforgiving, making this game appropriate for the ones who like difficult challenges. I like the way colors are mixed for rendering. :)

I think the game has potential, but there's certainly room for improvement. First I'd remove the flags and replace them with portals or something, for every gamer a flag like this means checkpoint, but in your game it's not a checkpoint. Jump animation could be a bit smoother, feels right now like it's jumping and falling at the same speed instead of accelerating.

Also I think it's not possible to self-destruct to kill the bat? I self-destructed while the bat is close but he seemed unaffected, only when I touched him he died (but so did I).

Overall better instructions would help the game, according to another commenter it's possible to shoot in the game, I didn't know that :(

I like the overall visuals and the gentle lighting effect as the character moves around.

Any reason why there's no Web build since you're using Godot?

Nice game, same as other comments. I would also add that the game seems pretty unforgivable, it feels like if you get hit by an enemy or make a wrong jump you won't be able to beat the game. Also, it took me a while to realize that I could shoot enemies.
I really liked the graphics and the effect when parts of the levelsget lit up as they enter the characters vision range. I also really liked the intor cutscene. Great job!

Thank you for the good words.

Just played Way to friends! Gameplay was super challenging and hard not to rage quit on! The theme was used well however I do agree with the comment below me, a checkpoint system would be super nice as restarting the entire level when your supposed to kill yourself got rather annoying at some point. Awesome job!

Very challenging to play and hard to not rage-quit.  I understand that it is your chosen theme with self-destruction but in your game it is too much punishable to restart from the beginning.  You needed to implement checkpoints at least.
