Themes
I focused on "Peaceful" and "Unconventional Weapons" as the enemies use dodgeball to fight. I also tried to implement "Self-Destruction for Gain" as the player can decide to give themselves handicaps to increase their score.
Tools
I used Godot, overall pretty great tool.
Lessons
Don't be lazy on the weekends and work on the project. Also avoid overscoping

very fun and challenging, I really like the betting aspect of it, and there's definitely a ton of pressure mounting up as the seconds tick by towards the end. Great game!
I was also getting that stalling problem that BlindChaosPanda mentioned. After a few throws, a goblin will chase the ball and get stuck near it. Which is cool, hey, I can just chill and run down the clock.
But on the third round, they glitched, I sat back and took a sip of coffee, and then they unglitched and balled me!
Touche, goblin, touche. :D
Sadly I still have no idea what causes that. I have tried to get the bug in Firefox and Chrome but haven't had any success. Maybe it has to do with a certain combination of stats. I also noticed that the sprites for the stats are bugged out.
Very good idea. There are some bugs, but the work is great!
This is such a cool idea! You already know about the bugs so I won’t repeat them, but I love it!
Idea seems great. But all my three tries to play were bugged after first ball was thrown.
Can you tell me more about the bug?
First "goblin" (sorry if they are not goblins, but I see goblins in them 😂) moves to the ball throws it, and when second goblin gets to the ball it just glitches and "spins" around the ball infinitely. May be it's my browser version or something...
Great to hear you can recognize them as goblins. I was worried that my sprites wouldn't be understood. My gf thought that the character was a chicken and that the goblins were frogs.
Hmm, I see. I haven't encountered that issue. Is it always the second goblin? What about it's position? Is he on the right, left, ...?
He just stays there and sprite is flipping left-right-left-right.
Fun game idea. Love the simplicity but its also challenging. There is only one litte flaw. I can hide outside of the screen and then nobody can hit me. But that should be easy fixable.
Oooh, I forgot to put borders for the player!
I like the idea behind this one, feels like it has some potential if there was more too it.
I just realized I forgot to set the timer back to 60 seconds after testing some things ·_·
