Nice visuals and music. The game itself is a bit difficult, maybe the level transitions could be instant so that we don't wait when trying again. Walking speed could be a bit higher too. The idea of using your overall health to open your way while also trying not to lose health unnecessarily by dying to obstacles is pretty cool. Good entry overall

or you could say it's...

next. level.

Random dungeon generation is pretty cool. I like the reload sound effects. I can imagine this becoming something very interesting if it was given time. You mention wanting to use the attachments after attachments theme, so I suppose there was gonna be weapon attachments and upgrades involved? Combined with the inventory system that would be very nice!

Nice art style and gameplay. A lot of levels and enemy variety for a jam game. I wish the FOV was a bit higher, but I guess that would make the sprites look bad since they would have to be squished to an even lower resolution. Good entry overall!

lil guy dancing to the beat while forklifting is super cute! There wasn't any clear objective, it was a vibe regardless

I like how the people appear like basic sprite objects but turn into rigid bodies with realistic pyhsics when abducted lol. Trying to flip over the tank was fun. Nice entry

Nice little golf game! I like how she goes super saiyan when charged to full power lol. Also like the enthusiastic voice acting. Good entry overall

pretty cool! I especially like the pac-man style tutorial. Making a 3D jam game in Construct is a bold move, extra respect!

Thanks!

This is a great one, the way enemies appear in the distance and slowly come closer looks very convincing for a 2D pixel art game. The weapon's controls give the feeling of depth very well without being difficult to control. In the water planet level I depended a bit too much on upgrade rng, that was the only time the game felt unfair. The rest is well balanced, the bombs feel great to use. Great game overall!

Cute art style and enemy design. I didn't really understand the mechanics at first but once I got used to it I was blasting through the enemies. I figured Attack + Auto attack build is the way to go, with occasionally getting hp upgrades to heal.

Very well implemented. I like the progression system, it let's you explore at your own pace. It's possible to mess yourself up when a later part's of the system intersects with an earlier area, but it's fun to fix that sort of problems. The cute little intro cinematic was nice. Cool music too. Great work!

Nice graphics, music and sound effects (even tho the music makes me feel more like I'm the one doing the pirating!). It's a bit hard to get your bearings at first but I figured I can use the first shot as a reference than the other 2 as the actual payload, the game got much easier and a lot more fun after that.  I think it would be more balanced if the ships appeared in reverse order (bigger ships first, smaller ships later) since bigger ships are easier to hit. I can imagine this turning into a fun wave defense game with lots of upgrades!

Car handling feels good, you even implemented gears and RPM! Having a hood camera is also useful (The game's page doesn't mention this tho, I discovered it by random chance. Pls update!). The default camera could be at a higher position tho, since the resolution is so low, the road ahead is super blurry. Having a higher point of view could help a lot. Great sound effects and music. Especially the menu theme.

I like the way we are allowed to cut and drive offroad with the downside of slower movement, implementing the offroad mechanic must have been difficult. The car controls are a bit hard to get used to, it would be nice if we would grind along the siderails instead of coming to a full stop, but I suppose that would make wall-riding a bit overpowered.

The little smoke particles that appear when drifting are pretty cool. Nice visuals overall. Having 3 different levels and a different music for each level is also pretty nice.

I also ran over a lot of people. They seemed fine tho.

For years players struggled to find a way to not play, you shall struggle no more. It was also a lot of fun to develop this game I guess.

This game truly makes you feel like you are running rain

Using a different time signature for each track is pretty cool, I like the way you use inspirations form a variety of soundtracks to bring together a cohesive OST.

Out of Time sounds a bit like some of the older works of Waterflame btw, maybe that's the "something you heard that sounds like this" you are looking for :]

Glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback!

Thanks!

Truly conveys the feeling of falling in and out of a fever dream as you struggle to sleep. I'm not even sure if there is a way to fix the muddiness in the low end without taking away from the experience as the heavy, percussive bass clashing with the low end synths actually support the feeling of having a fever. Nice work overall!

I like the way it gives epic vibes without being over the top, I can imagine this playing during an important turning point in a story

Very cool story and fitting music, the orchestration is very good and the soundtrack is not afraid to slide into different genres when need be,  I like how you dropped an electronic track out of nowhere and made it work regardless. Clearly a lot of effort was put into the story too. Very good entry, nice work!

Both the music and the game's concept are very cool. Nice work!

Nice work! I like how the themes still feel connected despite having completely different styles

I didn't want to use a clock ticking as I figured everyone else would be using it so I decided to go creative, glad it worked out well! And glad you like it, thanks!

Thanks! I was loosely inspired by the soundtrack of Ready or Not so I decided to go for full on SWAT theme for the thumbnail :]

Definitely what I was going for, thanks!

Glad you felt the atmosphere I was going for, and thank you!

Thank you :]

Thanks!

I didn't want to go too melodic to keep the track more ambient, but I can't keep myself from including a melody once I come up with it intentionally or not :] Glad you liked the crossover, because I really like making them, thanks!

Thanks!

Nice!

thank you!

I really like mashing up genres, especially orchestra and electronic music, glad it worked out well, thanks!

I don't understand the hate this game gets. It's everything it claims to be.

The gameplay is smooth, the graphics blend the style of both games quite well and the soundtrack is awesome (tho it would be even better if it was a mashup of Half Life and Hotline Miami style instead of just synthwave, or maybe synthwave remixes of the Half Life 2 OST)

The gravity gun is fun to use and I don't think it being the only weapon hurts the gameplay. It's already way closer to Hotline Miami than Half Life 2, if we could pick up enemy weapons it would straight up be Hotline Miami with different textures.

I also like the idea of the game taking place in a City-17-ish Miami.

My only problem was the reaction time of the enemies, they will instantly flick and shoot without any delay even if they are facing the opposite direction. Zombies are way too easy to deal with. Gravity gun is also not a guaranteed one hit kill but it was also how it worked in Half Life so it's fine.

It only ever crashed once in my entire playthrough on a Win11 machine.

I would recommend it to any Hotline Miami fan, tho I'm not sure if I can say the same about Half Life fans. Very good game overall :]

Thanks for playing, and I really enjoyed your commentary :]

thank you for playing the game! your gameplay and feedback was really insightful
