Got used to the delay really quickly. Very challenging. The only issue I had was that Coots's color and the clouds matched so much I could barely distinguish him from the background(maybe that's also part of the challenge. Great work!
Neat idea. You can maybe expand on this by having a delayed dash mechanic too. Maybe even a delayed dodge (maybe for projectiles of some kind), lots of possibilities. Nice work!
you can squish coots to make the hitbox smaller, (pro speedrunning tip)
I got as far until the two spinning clouds before giving up lol. I'm usually not a fan of games designed around purposefully touch mechanics (Getting Over It) - but I found myself getting used to the delayed jump pretty quickly and having fun. Good job!
Also I love the way the background looks / moves with you.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, the spinning clouds are one of the toughest if not the toughest obstacles. So I understand why you would give up after that.
