Yeah lol. The bull merges into itself to create 1 bull

This is quite an ambitious game for a game jam, and it works surprisingly well! I loved the movement and how it flowed into the combat. I'd love to see a more cleaned up post-jam version that refines the wall running mechanic a bit -- maybe even lowering the initial difficulty curve for us noobs lol.

Good work overall!

Thanks for the great feedback! I love the idea of gaining access to different origami patterns with different abilities, a la metroidvania style. Our project is actually setup in a great way to support this!

We just need to do more research about other cool origami transformations lol.

Thanks for playing!

There's no way to respawn rn, so you'd just have to restart the game if you fall off the map in the WebGL version. I'll add a note about that to the description.

Thanks for playing!

Yeah, the WebGL version has some performance issues but I uploaded it anyway so people could get a feel for whether they wanted to download the full better performing Windows version.

lolll, we'll add a settings option to invert those controls in our post-jam version

Thanks! I've never heard of that game before, I'll have to check it out :)

Thank you!

Thanks!

Yeah, unfortunately we had sound effects ready but had issues integrating them into the game with FMOD in time. They'll be added in the post-jam version tho :)

Thanks for the kind words! It means a lot :D

We're hoping to flesh out the movement mechanics into more of a game than a demo post-jam! We got a few ideas cooking

The visuals are simply incredible

After the jam is finished rating, we plan to post a follow-up URL on the page with a slightly modified version of our original submission that supports Windows 10 too.

If you want to check it out the game without leaving a score, check out the link below

its caturday v1.1 (Windows 10, Windows 11)

Thanks for playing the game!

There actually isn't a backspace in the game because we weren't sure how well it would play with the Coots mashing the keyboard mechanic. The word suggestion mechanic (which we recently discovered only works on Windows 11 PCs) can help resolve small typos - but otherwise you gotta just push forward

Y'all really nailed it with making Coots feel cat-like. You think you are keeping track of her, you turn around to grab an egg, turn back around and they disappeared into some cabinet.

The art of this game is also great. I love the use of 2D in a 3D environment.

Overall great game across the board

I got as far until the two spinning clouds before giving up lol. I'm usually not a fan of games designed around purposefully touch mechanics (Getting Over It) - but I found myself getting used to the delayed jump pretty quickly and having fun. Good job!

Also I love the way the background looks / moves with you.

Hey. Thanks for all the feedback so far.

I think a lot of the issues are because I designed the physics really poorly - and is reliant on your framerate (which is REALLY BAD practice). I'll look into trying to fix - but sorry for any of the issues you've run into and I appreciate the really good feedback so far.

Hey, thanks for playing my game. Sorry that some of the mechanics are unclear.

To leave the fenced in area, you press space to jump over the fence.

Here's an overview of what you can do

Hammer: Used to hit the anvil when there are crafting materials on it.

Axe: Used to hit a tree to cut it down

Pickaxe: Use to hit the rocks to extract ores

Saw Mill: Used to refine the wood you chopped down with the axe

Furnace: Used to smelt the ore you extracted with the pickaxe

In the settings on itch, increase the display port height slightly. The game is playable but slightly cut off

Thank you! Yeah, my control key choices were sort of random. Glad you were able to figure it out!

Sorry for the bugs, and thanks for giving it a try! There are some known bugs that I am going to fix at some point in the future, but I appreciate the feedback and glad you liked my art :)

I am not able to switch sideviews using the number keys? Cool concept, I would be interested in playing it more if this is fixed. Also it would be cool if a sensitivity slider was added, it seemed too high for me.

Lessssss Gooooo

Seriously though, that was a trippy but fun game. (EDIT:  I had an issue where I would rotate around when I didnt play in fullscreen. Think its a webgl cursor thing. Very weird.). I really liked the level design and the art style. It reminded me of computer games from the early 2000s. I also feel like you got the jumping right, a lot of indie platformers have trouble with that but I enjoyed the air movement in this game.

Hey, thanks for the comment :). Yeah, I felt like during development I was feature creeping hard and letting the game run away with itself. Definitely will try to flush out some of my existing mechanics like you said :)

You world generation is cool. My biggest complaint is that at night time I actually can't see a thing.

no worries, you are forgiven :)

This is a good point - although you probably could have said it in a slightly nicer way.

Pretty fun game.

I enjoyed how you gradually introduced more complex gameplay through level design. I liked the art and music.

My only complaint is to have your max hit send you farther. I expect myself to go flying when I hit the ball with max power.

Overall, great game and good job.

This game reminds me of the Postal franchise.
