Great use of the theme! The gameplay was very interesting, a very inspired concept overall! I ended up losing the ship my first time playing but afterwards I kept better track of it

Developer

Yeah losing the ship is a common feedback I'm getting now, I'm not sure if I'll work more on this game, the code is too spaghetti for me to want to look at it again, but if I would that would be something I would keep in mind

Really unique and fun to play, although its very challenging even on low difficulty (this may or may not just be a skill issue on my part though)

Developer

Yeah I might have made it a little too hard, the problem was that to vary difficulty I didn't have much variables to change, only the map size, amount of asteroids, amount of warp drive cells to collect etc... I tired my best but I can see why it still can be difficult even with these changes. I honestly should have made the easy difficulty be 2 warp drive cells.

Hella fun! Honestly I spent way more time than I should have on this game. Great Job!

Developer

Thank you so much! Any time you spent on this game is well spent in my opinion 😂

I like this! It's a pretty nice concept and you implemented it well. I do have a couple critiques though.

1. I think it would've been a lot better if the forces were stronger? Like if the gravity pulled things quicker and the thruster pushed you faster in the direction you were going. Right now it sometimes feels like I have to get lucky with how quickly things take effect, if that makes sense.

2. I floated out into space and ran out of gravity :( - If floating off for too long caused a game over, that would stop you from having to reboot the game whenever that happens.

Again though, it was overall a fun experience! I know it is quite literally an arcade-style game, but it does feel like something I'd play in an older arcade.

Developer

Thank you so much! You have no idea how happy I am you enjoyed my game. About your critiques:

1. In hindsight, I don't know why I didn't make it faster, I guess it's a combination of my vision for this game being a more slow paced strategic game and forgetting to tune values because of the big amount of things to do.

2. I wanted to make a pause menu from which you can restart and go back to the main menu, but by the time I got to it there were much more important things and I didn't have time

Again I'm really happy you enjoyed the game! I put a lot of effort into it. I also really liked your game and I hope you win!

Very nice space, and the ship is beautiful, congratulations! At one point, I lost the ship and couldn't find it again lol.

Developer

Thank you! I'm happy you had fun

Cool concept.  I like the idea of moving around with the gravity manipulator primarily rather than thrusters.  That is one huge map :)

Developer

Thank you, it's just that any smaller maps made the game really easy and short, I hope the big map wasn't a problem

Hey, this is the first actual game I ever made that isn't a practice project. All assets are made by me during the 4 day time period. I had a lot of fun and stress making this (mostly stress) and I learnt a lot. I'd be happy if you rated my game.

Also, I know the UI looks bad, I really wanted to improve it but didn't have time
