I did really like the graphics, a lot less the speed of the character and I don't understand why it was necessary to make it move that slow. Though I must admit that the game made me anxious because of the ghosts trying to get into your body when your soul leaves you. The fact that there's no fall damage ruins a bit the atmosphere but it's also good for speedrun. I understand that you made a lot of work to make this work in this little time but add a screen with "You escaped" or something when exiting the house. Overall great game though, the core mechanic is solid.
PS: I was able to get the key near the knife without going the other side of the house. I have huge timing skills I'll guess.
I wanted the speed to be slow to give a feeling of helplessness but with not much to do it might 've felt tedious.
I really glad you liked the atmosphere, I'll note down adding fall damage and somehow squeezing an end page in the next games I make.
Thanks a lot for playing our game and giving feedback.
P.S: You do have good timing skills.
My point is that the ghost moving slow makes sense, but since there are no obstacles when not separated from the ghost, the player moving slow doesn't make any sense. I was suggesting to add fall damage, but that could not be the greatest idea, I think that just a collider that bounds you to use the stairs instead of flying is enough.
Words fail to capture the flood of emotions that washed over me as I played this masterpiece. Every moment, every note of the experience, was pure elegance—each piece fitting together like a perfect symphony. When I finished the game, I raced to find my father, eager to share the profound impact it had on me. But alas, he was out, gone to fetch milk for our family—a cruel twist of fate, for I could not convey to him how this game had forever altered my soul.
From the eerie, surreal act of cutting a zombie's hand and offering it to the dog, to the haunting surrender of my own body so my spirit could press a key to open a door... the entire journey was nothing short of transcendent. Please, I beg you, never create another game, for nothing could ever compare to this.
And with that, I bid you farewell, my friend.
It's pity to go through such a journey just to find out father has embarked on a great mission to get milk.
Even though it may be impossible I will strive to make a game that can give you the same experience as this.
Seriously speaking, I'm really happy you that found our game to be enjoyable.
How do you kill the dog at the end? I wasn't able to figure that out.
Try going to the top most floor, you'll figure it out from there.
Thanks!
I consider it is a bit difficult for my taste, but you did a good job!😊
The difficulty was due to a mistake in my part, I apologize for that.
