Our Magical Girl is a Shinobi that has the ability to stop time in place.

5. Starry Mountain of Tenma
How does your game fit those theme(s)?
Well, Tenma in Japanese means Heavenly Being, and something close to heavenly Beings from the Stars is aliens. So we tried to make Yokai that are also alien in nature.
Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
A majority of our sprites and 2D assets were made by Zeena and Plenair. But due to some glitches, and time constraints, Kamataya was forced to improvise and use some assets he had.

I like it a lot.
I did find it a bit weird that you have to deactivate the time spell manualy after running out of time in order to reactivate it.
Overall great Za Warudo simulator.
OK I dig the 3d / 2d style thing .... Sadly the game is way too easy and just having 1 sfx for the whole game is a bit sad ... Need at least some fun music.
Excited to see the 1 Unreal game for this jam ! (maybe there is another one , haven't played all)
Is the timestop mechanic too powerfull ? will there be some downside ? Maybe it should be limited to a short span ?
pretty experimental, needs work.
I like the time-stop idea, but it needs more polishing. Also i think the view is too close comparing to the the character speed. also the stage fabrics seems not fitting the content.
The character is cute. And it feels refreshing to see pixel art character walking on realistic material 3d stage
Time stopping as a core mechanic is very neat! We enjoyed the sound effect of stopping time, but would have liked to see a visual effect as well - especially one that indicates time is currently stopped. Perhaps a color filter on the screen?
The various different types of art styles felt a bit clashing, a more cohesive look would've been nice - For example if you'd like to keep the 3D/2D combo giving the 3D models pixelated textures of a similar pixel resolution to the 2D artwork would work nicely.
The movement mechanics felt pretty nice, but the ability to dash an infinite number of times got a bit out of hand. Similarly being a bit more forgiving with the jumping would be neat - in some of the level design you can barely make the jump.
The ability to stop time and put a whole lot of knives in the air felt very nice, excellent use of time stopping - Good job!
