Sadly i could barely play it.
played the game over 10 times but failed to get past the 5th jump, the distance is too short. i thought there was a double jump button I missed.
this can be good but it needs some accessibility fixes, if you update it i'd love to play it again! :)
good job on making a game in python btw
btw if possible I'd love it if you could check out my game as well.
yep, what you missed was the ‘dive’ using the down arrow ;)
A very good game! I would also like to note the usual pygame. It's so cool that you used it! Special thanks for this! The game came out cool!
Pressing the down array kind of let me fly, not sure if that was intentional but it was fun :)
There are a lot of difficult jumps, where you have to jump at the last second, but if you dont make it, the time you have to wait for the next try feels longer than the actual playtime. I would prefer an instant respawn. Also the jump sound gets annoying after a while (so thanks for the mute button +1)
Thanks for the feedback!
The death is a bit long, but for those hard jumps, utilizing the ‘dive’ feature is key, as it pushes you upward and higher.
Thank you for clearing that up. My bad for not reading the description carefully!
I was now able to play through it! But there is this bug when you do the dive and collide with a ceiling, you get infinite upwards momentum. You can basically skip the middle section, where there is this long bridge above you when you dive against the ceiling.
Anyhow i liked the game much more with the dive key and respawn time didnt seem so long anymore :)
A decent game. First, I love me some pygame, and major props to you for using that instead of some mainstream game engine. That said, the game lacks some polish, and the game over screen is much too long.
