How does your game fit the theme "Unconventional Means"?
This game fits the theme in multiple ways.. The world is made of letters and symbols for example the floor is made of #. You also control letters that spell out "MashUp Jam" as players. You have to get the letters to the goal, which is the number one spot on itch.io and avoid hitting the GMTK Jam obstacles. Can YOU get the MashUp Jam to be the BEST Game Jam on itch?

Getting some Baba Is You vibes from this artstyle, I love it! Think I would have enjoyed the game more if either there were less letters, or more versatile controls i.e. you control more letters at once. I gave up after taking ages to get all the letters just to the first jump haha. Like the game though!

It's a very cool idea, but the controls makes it unplayeble :/

Nice job, as usual (GMTK, Kaiju). The arty style is great! But messing with the controls is a bit risky idea. (peoples get quick frustrated) I say that while in my game the controls are messed up too, but aside it was a decent job!

Didn't really get it at first, but this game is pretty interesting and once you figure out the controls the movement feels good. I'm not sure how much I like controlling each character with different keys, but it also makes the game more unique, dare I say unconventional. The visuals are great and music adds a nice touch.

thanks a lot for the feedback! I know its really hard, definitely should have made it easier, but yeah it was intentional because I wanted to give the player a cheese if they found it frustrating and the few letters with a high jump velocity need that route 😄
i freaking love how meta this is, but if you think i have the patience to get the all the letters to the end i have one thing to say and that is, uh, i don't. I'll get two to the end and be satisfied with that HA
all that being said -i do get the concept of the game and appreciate what you had in mind!
