Cool concept, but it was super hard haha I think something that would make it much easier would be to automatically swap to a new mech if the mech you were controlling gets knocked down. It seemed that most of the goals against my team happened as a result of me being knocked down, and therefore having zero influence over the situation.
Pretty difficult to play, not sure I am really able to kick or punch because I never seem to have or hit the ball, and I’m always on the ground. Banging soundtrack thou!
Fun game, just difficult!
Very cool idea! I was confused at first with the controls but with the left ctrl/alt it works fine with the download version.
Nice job for the jam, well done - I am very happy to punch down all the other team and score!
Unexpected and fun take for a mech game :p
I can't really say i'm any qualified to judge the gameplay on this one as a have almost no experience with soccer games, but from what little i know and what i saw trying your game out, you did a good job at replicating the system where you switch players to intercept the ball from the current holder.
The keys layout is a bit weird also :(
That said, i still think the game itself is well made and i had some fun trying to get the ball from the AI team, and i also like the oldschool "majinger z" inspired (i assume ?) design of the robots :)
Thanks for playing!!!
Not a fan of the hand-claw-making controls on keyboard, and I also struggled to play in the browser due to the keys used. I generally found the game hard to play, but this has probably more to do with my lack of familiarity with sports games and the way my guys kept falling over whenever they got close to an AI player. My guys spent so much time on their backs I wasn't sure if I was doing anything right. The AI was really good for a jam like this. Impressive.
Thanks for playing!!!
Great music! The controls were were a little strange, but easy to use one you figure stuff out. I liked how out there this concept was! The punch move is a bit overpowered and the AI on the computer team are leagues more coordinated than the player's, but it was a fun time!
Thanks for playing!!!
Music was a banger and has an original gameplay concept.
Thanks for playing!!!
Cool!
Hard to play in web due to ctrl/alt, but windows download worked well.
I wish there was a way to command your other players or choose when to switch, as sometimes it was a bit of a surprise or happened too late for me to guard the goal, or pass when trying to strike.
Really well made though and great work on the custom AI for a two week jam!! Your breakdown of how it works was really cool
Fantastic work!
Thanks for playing!!!
