Neat concept and cute art, but for some reason I couldn't complete it due to the lv 3 fear and happiness just not registering. Still nice.

VERY COOL!!! Opening a menu by walking into a building is a really good idea!! I unlocked all of the sad ones!

Developer(+1)

thank you sooo much!!!!

at first, i thought of you having to click the building, but then tryed this one (the 'opens when you enter the building' one) on...

and it felt so much better and natural.

i am so so glad you liked it as well :))))

oh no, only SAD EMOTION UNLOCKED? very sad times :(

hopefully that's not a mirror of how life's going :/

if so (or, honestly, even if life's going amazing for you), as the vine/meme/whatever says:

"you're doing great, sweety"... but without the 'sweety'... that kinda feels awkward to say, idk

any ways... let's pretend that awkward pharagrapf never happened (and that i know how to write 'paragraph'... oh wait, i wrote it right this time...)

thank you so much for giving feedback :)) and for giving a good positive and helpfull one :))

i hope your day's amazing :))

I was a bit confused but really like the art, it's cute!

Developer

i know :/ it ended up being  """"a bit""""" confusing :/

there was no toturial and i "forgot" to make a script for camera movement

but, at least, i made something and submited in time...

thank you for the feed back tho :)))))

everyone that reviews seems to be liking the art a lot :))) that makes me really happy :)

nice game jam, the vabes are really nice and welcoming. i loved it! :)) have a really nice day :)

Perfect art, and a unique take on the theme. I had most fun looking at the different emotion designs - I am euphoric!

Developer

hee hee THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!  :))))

that makes me euphoric! :))which on was your favourite? :))

for me it is either the (ew-annoyed-repulsed) one or the (irritated-angry-mad) one..... OR ALL OF THEM aaaa :)

i know it was buggy (with the part of releasing it on the lab and stuff) but...

- did you caught up that you could go in thet other door to see your progress?

- was it hard to know that you were suppost to collect the smaller ones first?

- what about when it came to leaving the "dashboard pause time"?... did you find it easy to figure that out?

sorry all this questions :/ i just want ot understand how the game expirience felt for you :)

any of the ways, i'm so glad you had fun :) and thank you so so much for the nice feedback :))

The duck was my fav so I made sure they were in the screenshot!

I did find the other door, but at first I didn't realise dashboard was a button to see progress. With the building, you can walk out while the menu is still open and I got a few bugs that way with menu objects remaining on screen (I liked the "I didn't make this bit" notices though!).

I think I saw a message in game about collecting the small ones first, but I was just going for whatever I could catch so maybe I didn't play correctly sorry!

Developer

oh, i knew it was buggy, but i did not know that ui would stay on-screen after you left that "dash room"...

maybe didn't playtested enoughtly... (i hope it didn't interfeered with the gameplay tho...)

yeah, maybe i should've made a simple animation for those buttons... thanks for poiting that out :)

i did think those "opp- didn't do that sorry" notices would be fun :)

don't worry, i bet you did an awesome job :)

I like the art, which is like a picture book.

I love the sensibility of taking on a philosophical theme, as many games, including mine, are based on combat.

Well done!

Developer

thank you so much! :))

i loved making this art :) it looked pretty unique as i was doing and i thought it looked fairly pretty...

maybe that's why  so many people liked it as well  :)))

yeah, from the very first moment, my instinct was to go in a "robots trying to undestand emotions" way...

and that's what i tryed to do :)

it ended up kinda buggy and without some features that i wanted to implemement but it's done and playable :)

as a baby game dev, that's what i'm trying to tell myself everytime :)

i am totally going to check out your game tho... like right now :)

thank god it is a browser one... cause my laptop is almost overloadig with devlog footage... whoops

i hope have a nice day :))) whoever you are, you are valid :)

Cute art! I managed to capture a few emotions in the end but I was a bit confused :D I think it would be great to have the catching colliders a bit bigger too

Good work :)

Developer(+1)

thank you so much for giving actual feed back! :))

yeah, the colliders were behaving a bit weird, i know :/ and it was a bit messy with the releasing part :/

maybe if i had made the camera move when the player'd move + an actual tutorial... it would be a bit less confusing, idk

but, note to self, let's not only focus on the negatives :)

thank you! really. thank you for rating and giving actually constructive feedback :))
