Had a weird bug while playing. Actually got stuck outside of the map and couldn't hit anything or be hit. so just kind of floated off into the void.
The music and sound effects are still really good though and the graphics might be simple, but it fits with that early Starfox look.
Like you said yourself, looks like you just needed more time.
Nice little not Gundam game we have here. Controls well though I think the crosshair was off due to my wide display. I also found that my shots coudn't hurt the second boss either. One thing that I liked is that the levels were designed as such that if scenery would've gotten in the way I didn't have to fear about taking damage from projectile firing enemies. Also, it looks like here that the first boss is only illegally dumping munitions into space rather than trying to kill me.
Nice rail shooter.
I really like the mech design for both the Gundam inspired player mech and the red boss mech in mission 2.
Gameplay wise this reminded me of a sort of mix between Space Harrier and Starfox which is quite a cool mix ^^
The music is also really good and quite catchy.
The only issue i had was that the collisions that were sometimes a bit weird, some enemies i couldn't seem to hit at certain angles, and the elite mech boss didn't seem to take any damage what so ever so i kinda got softlocked at him.
Regardless what's there seems pretty solid, just a bit of fixing here and there and you've got a cool shooter. Oh and also gotta love that 4th wall break in the story with the mech name and the time they developped this prototype weapon :p
Overall well done :)
It reminded me of starfox a bit and some other on rail shooters i've played, it has good concepts behind it! it was a bit janky but overall good job!
Really cool game, it feels like you unearthed an early 3D Gundam game that never released. Great job.
Awesome game! As you said, some bugs and quirks, but despite those I had a fun with that. Made me crave some Starfox 64. Just some more polish and this could be a great little rails shooter
I like the idea for this, as a fan of these kinds of shooters e.g. Galaxy Force :) especially with almost Tron-like abstract obstacles and big battleship things. Felt weird to have things I couldn't seem to aim at & obstacles that obscured my vision of what was going on for a while.
IMO, adding general/visual polish + draw distance fog for the distant enemy forces to be hidden behind + a secondary attack/weapon/mode would be a great time :)
