How does your game relate to the theme?
This was a typing game created in less than 72 hours. It complete, story-wise, but it could use a few QOL updates. The premise of the game involves the player reminiscing their character's life, and they choose the actions of the character, affecting what dialogue option show up that the player has to type. The stream of consciousness, combined with the flow of life, directly attribute to the MelonJam 5's theme.

The concept for your game is cool, but overall needs more polish. For example the gameplay comes off as fairly boring, since you are only typing, and have no other stimulus since there is only one background image and no music. Adding something to keep the player's attention would definitely improve the game. Another thing that would benefit the gameplay would be to have some better feedback on getting something wrong. The text turning red doesn't indicate much and this was a problem when I didn't type a space and thought it was the first letter of the word I was messing up on. It would also be nice to see menus that are more fleshed out rather than a menu that's just a default start button with no background.

Keep up the good work though, with some more time spent on it this game would be pretty interesting.

Hello

The game concept is cool. But i think the gameplay need more polish.

Goodluck

Really like the idea but I feel like it was poorly implemented or maybe I just couldn't realise how to play. I wrote "goo goo ga ga" on my keyboard but other than that nothing appeared. Tried writing something on my own to see if it'll appear but nothing happened. But still... I understood the mission and I like the potential of the idea.

Played through the whole thing, the plot had some flaws and felt incomplete. It had a lot of content despite being made in less than 72 hours. I liked the intro. We'll be grateful if you review our game in return!

The game had an intro section, but nothing playable. I let it play for a few minutes and tried clicking on things, but nothing happened. It just had the goo goo ga ga text. If there was something I was supposed to do it was entirely missed.

Gameplay 1* (lowest as there was none)
Graphics 2. I like that you put effort into the graphics, thats an automatic +1 for not using assets.
Innovatrion. 3 stars --> looked like there might be something interesting, and it didn't look like a game I played before. But since it didn't work, I couldn't give hire. innovation needs execution.
Theme. 2 Stars. Had some semblance to flow in what it seemed it was trying to do, but not executed.
Polish. 1* I'm guessing the plan didn't work out well or didn't get the final build up.

Good luck next time.

Hi, Dan! It is a typing game, so players are meant to type out what the text says on the screen! As novices, we didn't yet have enough time nor the knowledge to add an instructions screen, so we apologize for the confusion!
