A fun little game, i like the sounds! Should have more balance because imo the parry system is a bit broken. I could spam it but sometimes it just doesn't work. All the assets look like they're from different asset packs that makes the game look a bit awkward. Also the quest system is a bit confusing, i think it just triggers dialogue and that's it? This game has a lot of different stuff like the quest system i mentioned or the options having quite a lot of stuff (for a gamejam game that is). The game lags when there are lots of enemies on screen. It's also difficult dealing with giant amounts of enemies with the only real option being collecting the power ups to kill hordes with the special attack, which can be frustrating.

A nice little game. I like the variety of special abilities. Collecting coins can be annoying sometimes. The sounds kinda hurt my ears since i was playing in my headphones though, and the style is not very consistent
Would love to see more stuff added to this game!

Fun and simple. A perfect arcade. (Felt like the theme was a bit of a stretch though)

This game is probably my favorite game in the jam so far! It's original and has a lot of cool and unique mechanics that make it stand out. The art is simple and minimalistic but very appealing. I personally don't like the sounds but it's not a huge issue. Score chasing is almost not implemented as it only has levels though. Also the theme is kind of a stretch because you break the main theme of the jam with one of the mechanics lol

a nice and simple frogger. The ambience is nice and the controls feel good. Not much else to say tbh

A fun little game. I like the mechanics and visuals and the sounds are pretty good. The leaderboard doesn't work though and the charging mechanic is buggy
(Also i really don't like the use of AI in the background art)

I wasn't quite sure what to do, a tutorial or a simple explanation would be nice.
The game looks really good!!
Aiming was a bit too sensitive for me but otherwise pretty good
There were tons of bugs and lags i encountered in the web version, and when i downloaded it i couldn't open it because of a compilation error, which is a shame because i really wanted to experience the game fully without giant loading times and lags that i encountered

Oh and the sounds are nice

The mechanic is interesting. I hope you'll continue this project!

Tysm for such a detailed review!! We'll take into account everything you said!
(you can heal with "space" btw)

Pretty funny
The game is very simple yet the story pulled me in ngl
The theme implementation is creative yet feels pretty farfetched

Nice! Thematically consistent, very fluid gameplay, no bugs encountered. Game design is pretty good and it feels very polished. Also a whole story in a gamejam game??
Can't imagine how much effort this game took

Great game all around! The graphics are consistent, the gameplay is engaging and the theme implementation is quite creative! Also feels very polished! Really reminds me of those old flash games

The game is quite thematically consistent and i like the overall vibe! The gameplay is quite simple tbh and the game breaks if it's fullscreen
I like the way you implemented the theme, very unique

yeah! btw if that's your first game then damn, really nice job
keep it up

(1 edit)

more than half of the team is quite new (this is their first project) and we haven't published a lot of games despite developing a lot
so by the melonjam 5 standards we are novice lol

I like this game the most so far, can't even nitpick
Really enjoyable and fun

Thanks!
The ambush was intentional lol
it motivates players to play in a more tactical manner and find a balance between slow and fast gameplay while keeping steady with the level progress (at least that's the idea)

Fun little game. Can be laggy sometimes and i find the turtle difficult to control
Overall nice

no .exe?

Short but sweet. Liked the idea and the theme implementation. Feels a bit short though

Really good, simple and engaging. The graphics and the overall atmosphere is really nice. The sfx really makes it feel alive. The theme was implemented really well. It feels really polished too
Can't find any downsides even if i nitpick
(review our game in return if you want, we'd be really grateful)

I found the game pretty engaging even though it's very simple. Found a couple of game breaking bugs. Also the chaos mode was very funny, had a moment where a pedestrian went flying through a building
(please review our game too, we'd be very grateful)

Nice game, unfortunately it has only the WebGL version
The only downside i can find is that the theme implementation is rather farfetched

Hello! The theme implementation is pretty creative (in a good way). Though it felt like a usual racing game albeit with a different setting. It had quite a lot of content for a 3 day jam. (Review our game in return if you want, we'd be very grateful)

Played through the whole thing, the plot had some flaws and felt incomplete. It had a lot of content despite being made in less than 72 hours. I liked the intro. We'll be grateful if you review our game in return!

The connection to the theme is creative and very solid. I found the game rather simple and there's not much to do once you've figured it out, but it's not much of an issue (i mean, it's a 3 day jam). There were some visual bugs with the red blood cells not flowing also. Overall the graphics are pretty good and I haven't found any inconsistencies

Hello, i found the game very confusing at first because it didn't have any explanations to what's going on. A tutorial or a description wouldn't hurt any game, especially as experimental as this. The gameplay is pretty standard to be honest, but i found the wave-matching mechanic very interesting and i feel like it has some potential. Though, it took me some time to figure it out. I don't think it fits the theme well tbh, maybe the wave-matching mechanic has some correlations with the "flow" but i feel like that's a stretch. Found a couple of visual bugs as well, but despite that i found the game to have a distinct style with a nice finish to it. I like the psychedelic-esque aesthetic the most in this game.

Tysm for the feedback! Detailed reviews like these are invaluable!

weird. Does the game just not launch? The executables' name is "JameGam Game" (last minute thing lol)

hey

Tysm! (I made the sound :D)

oh yeah you have to fullscreen it (otherwise it wouldn't work)

in the browser version you have to play in fullscreen (didn't have time, sorry)

Забыл что надо ответить, а не просто написать, ахаха

В любом случае, я готов, напиши в дискорд когда будешь онлайн

Hey! I want to be honest, this is not CV for a job. I've never made an ost before, but I have some experience with making standalone songs and remixes. I'm sure i'll handle basic sound design too, i have a lot of libraries and i can make my own sounds with synths. I don't have any media besides youtube and discord (if you can count discord as one), so...

Something I made with a horror theme in mind:
