I found it to be short, but sweet. However, I found some of the platforming to be tricky.

I liked the idea but it glitches almost at the beginning when laser pushes me infinitely even when I'm outside of alert area.

I tried but I couldn't get very far. Some kind of player guidance would help. I gathered that if I didn't move too much I could get past the cameras, but the execution seemed inconsistent. I refreshed the page a lot; only once was I able to get past the first room.

Update: I realized I completely misunderstood the mechanic bc I didn't realize I could go right (and the get the first upgrade). This is really a clever mechanic! My main criticism follows others about the finnicky controls. This game made me realize how much I rely on coyote time.

I think that you spotted a bug allowing the player to go through the camera, if you managed to reach the second room without the first upgrade 😅

Anyway thanks for your feedback, a coyote time could indeed greatly improve controls

Props for actually doing a novel game mechanic and not the same "gun, dash, double jump" that every metroidvania has!

I think the beam was a pretty clever idea. Though the puzzles designed around it sometimes required very quick and precise mouse movements, that were a bit too finicky for me to perform.  You have to click pretty small rectangles (the blocks you can turn on), while the camera is moving, while also keeping your beam pointed a specific way, and I just couldn't do that in some instances.

For this the game could have also really used some "player forgiveness" mechanics (good blog post on this -> https://maddythorson.medium.com/celeste-forgiveness-31e4a40399f1), because often I tried to jump (while focusing on other things like mouse movement), and I would just jump a bit to early or too late and it wouldn't register and I'd fall off.

So I really like the overall idea, and mechanics and just the idea of a stealth metroidvania, but I just couldn't get very far into game, unfortunately.

The light beam feature is a very clever idea. I liked the graphics and sound too.

The character controls need some improvement imho, but all and all good work!

looks really interesting... the movement has a few quirks but that hasn't detracted so far.. and love the torch mechanic... sadly was very frustrating trying to play on laptop with no mouse, so I won't rate yet, but will come back to this when I can play as intended!

Good start for a game! I really liked the design with the abilities. My pet peeve is how you can hang from platforms by your hand but at that point you can only drop down. The character needs animations too.
