This has potential to be pretty amazing, its got a lot of "dead space" and hard to navigate back to where you came from even with a radar map thing. It's just a little overwhelming all at once, and I am unsure of the goal

This looks like it has potential, but isn't just there right now.
Music and SFX are essential to push it to the next level.

And the speed could maybe be increased.

Looks like a candidate for SMVM

this is a good start to something. i think it would need more time in the oven but my first impressions of it were good. it feels like a good candidate for the super metroidvania jam, the one that lasts 3 months (i think).

Agreed, I'm definitely planning to continue working on it since I wasn't able to get it to where I wanted by the end. Thanks for playing!

I like this one! Lots of potential, and I like the atmosphere. Not having the character face where it's looking makes navigation (even with the light) a bit difficult. Also, it feels like the projectiles travel very slowly, even the ones that seem like they shouldn't.

Thanks for playing! I'll definitely have to speed those up. As for the camera, I think that makes a lot of sense when you're not aiming, I'll have to tinker with it and see how it feels. Thanks for the feedback
