Not a bad game, it reminds me of my puzzle game from the previous jam (mini jam 101) Shifting Roads

Nice little puzzle game! It's pretty rare to see people using something else then Unity or Godot for gamejams so I love seeing people put on a challenge and try with something more difficult!

The game is pretty simple and cool, the story is pretty unique and interesting. You made a pretty nice game specially for the framework you used! Congrats ;)

Very neat entry, but it all did kinda feel like the same puzzles after a while, and I think it bugged out a bit and the kid just kinda decided I was taking too long and phased out too. So the ending prompt was even more on point hehe.

Great work!

Yeah I had some other puzzle types I wanted to implement but I couldn't get them working so I just went with slide-8, so your feeling was not wrong... Sorry about the bugging out, the kid is definitely supposed to stay put if not offered an open door...

Thanks for giving it a try and review!

I think the game has a pretty good concept overall and uses the limitation in an interesting way narratively. For the beginning narrative, it would be nice for there to be some sort of image or picture that goes along with it to help see it visually. Although I don't know how good at art you are or how hard it was to make the stuff you already put into the game. For the puzzles on the doors, I think it would be more interesting if there was a variety of puzzles so that you're not just doing 8 piece swapping puzzles. Since these puzzles become quite easy after you learn the method of completing them. Overall though I think it's a  very nice and unique puzzle game.

Why is there a price tag of 5$ on this game? Pretty sure that it makes people avoid this fine game

Developer

It's free to play embedded in the browser; the pricetag is just for downloading the file through itch.io.
