This game is awesome, it should be expanded the rpg classes and enemies taking a turn. Great job
I really like the concept of your game! Good work (:
Complicated and therefore a little clunky but it has a lot of cool features like the train snake mechanics. Check out my review at https://www.twitch.tv/scalphamission
Thank you so much for doing a video review!
Seeing what isn't obvious and what is, is super helpful, having 1 on the attack button for example!
Sorry about the rock not breaking bug haha
Definitely could have used alot of UX changes and you've given me lots of ideas!
OH and note on the puzzle you ended on, I think this is more my bad as a puzzle designer but you can attack the train itself too!
Thank you so much for doing videos!
Lovely little puzzle game, I like how smooth the gameplay feels.
I think this could be a great touch friendly game too!
I liked the mechanics :) i found that once i selected attack, it was quiet difficult to change to movement.
Mmh, the hydra myth was a good idea! Its a nice combination of action/puzzle. Maybe I would simplify the movements allowing right click with the mouse o key shortcuts.
Thanks! they hydra myth came to me while chatting with a friend haha!
Thats a good point! right clicking to move would probably prevent miss movements.
Thanks for playing!
I actually played a lot more then the time I had for it, this game is awesome and I love the fact that you can hop in a train to move faster! You have a really good game there! If I could give some feedback, it would be nice if I could move 5 step forward instead of clicking 5 times. Other then that, congratulations you made a wonderful game!!
Awesome I am so glad you liked it!
And yeah, honestly I wish I did do a proper move system, but tbh this clunky way was huh just kinda easier haha.
I will absolutely do that if I work on it further! thanks for the feedback
I love games like Fire Emblem, Advance Wars or Final Fantasy Tactics, please meke more levels after jam!!!
Thanks I love those games too! haha
I might make more levels but the code base is gonna need a very good cleaning. It got, SUPER messy near the end their
Thanks so much for playing!
Wow this is actually a great concept! Did not think you game was that awesome after talking it really bad in the discord xD
Looks like one of the highest scoring games to me ^^
haha thank you so much! Biggest thing I'm missing is a tutorial tbh. It's one of the things I'm most worried about.
Thanks for playing!
I really enjoyed this game! Clever mechanics, great puzzle design. My favorite puzzle solution was scything the train to shorten it to convenience. The short number of turns per level made restarting a level not so frustrating. One issue I had was that it seemed like once I selected a piece and clicked Attack, it didn't quite seem to be possible to move the piece with footsteps instead of attacking. But restarting (by running out the turn counter with End Turn quickly) wasn't too bad! Also I liked the graphics!
Nice little puzzle/tactics hybrid. The train to move units around was a smart idea and a really interesting dynamic to add to the puzzles. Thanks for the game!
Thanks!
And yee tbh, the train was the idea, then I just made it a puzzle game when I started running out of time hehe.
Thanks for playing!
I like it! Definitely an interesting idea, however, I agree that the mechanics were pretty confusing so I sat stuck trying to attack the first enemy for around ten minutes
Ah sorry about that, yeah making this system intuitive could have taken a higher priority hehe
Thanks for playing!
Pretty fun game. Some of the mechanics weren't too intuitive to me, so some sort of tutorial would be nice. It's a great game otherwise!
Haha thanks!
and yee the tutorialization is quite poor. Time issues and all that.
Thanks for playing!
