The ambience in this game is great. Super calming and cute! Loved the art in this game, great job!

the concept and art is pretty good for 2 days!

The art style reminded me of some childrensbooks, so I did not mind i much. The jump feels a bit strange and at first T was also using W,A,S,D and that did not work ^^ But the arrowkeys do. I had fun playing your game

The squirrel animation is a bit weird, but i like the concept and the art is quite good. Good job!

You may say you need an artist, but that’s some good scenery, combined with the ambient sounds.

At first I was very confused because I was using A and D but unlike the arrow keys, W and S don’t work.

The squirrel needs a bit of coyote time or to be able to jump while holding the jump button down instead of when pressing it. If I try to play it faster, I keep sliding off logs.

Regarding people saying there’s no increase in difficulty, I agree, but I got an idea - making it so that you can carry an unlimited number of acorns but each acorn decreases your acceleration and deceleration so the squirrel becomes harder and harder to control and the player has to make a compromise between ease of movement and carrying capacity.

Tnx for playing. I hate my art and was going to quit after i saw how i drew a squirrel... But i appreciate it.

I used getinput for movement so both the arrow keys and AD work, but using AD didn't occur to me.

For the difficulty there are alot of ways to implement it, like limited time or increasing the logs speed... But i wanted to have a calm game for the player to feel relaxed creating the forest with each nut

I liked the music, very calming. The animations on the squirrel were also nice. Got a bit bored though because there was no increase in difficulty.

I probably should have added another mode for hardcore players like you... I was afraid everyone rage quit after dying and Starting from the beginning

The concept of carrying one acorn across at a time can make for a very interesting highscore-based game. Unfortunately, the fact that there's a limited amount of Acrons means that there's no incentive to try and get a highscore. The game also doesn't ramp up in difficulty.

Love the squirell and the hand-drawn art though!

first the game was so hard my friend suggested i should make it easier for everyone to play, since its a game jam and i like people to finish the game. becuz the more nuts u plant , the forest color and sound will change u can hear birds , grass grows....

and yes it was a highscore game but i had to change it becuz of the  jam limitation

It's nice. I really like the music, but it could be set on DontDestroyOnLoad object to not restart on death.

I like that you can move the wood. You can walk on A and D. but pickup nuts and jump only on arrows, strange.

Nice and simple, It has a good art for people in need of an artist in a jam

good game

Tnx. With so many logs i didn't think people die very often.

I myself am more comfortable with arrows so i didn't consider awsd but ill keep that in mind next time
