I like pixel art graphics. The rules are simple and easy to understand, and I found it immediately interesting. It fits the restrictions and is an original idea.

I tended to lose bullets in rapid succession. When restarting, it would be helpful if you could guide me as to where bullets are to be fired. Good game!

Developer

That's a great point, I should stop the bullet and let the player shoot.
Thanks for playing!!

Nice concept! But sometimes the ball physics gets weird though, I somehow got the ball to go around in circles with one of the platform.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, to break the pattern you need to hit the ball at the border of a paddle 2 or 3 times. I'm thinking of adding some features to the paddles to make the shots more dynamic.

Thanks for playing!

This is a preety interesting idea! Besides some bugs when colliding with some of the blocks, it is super cool, and the dino sprite is super cute! Good Work!

Developer

Hey thanks for playing, collisions should be fixed, also the background should be more visible now, I think it was too dark.

This game is very fun! the only issues i have is that hitting the final brick(s) can be infuriating, and that a proper background could've gone a long way to sell this one. Whenever there's only a couple of bricks left, its infuriating to try and hit them - especially since theres a bug where hitting the corner doesn't break them. other than that, pretty fun little game!

Developer (1 edit)

Annoying final bricks are a feature of breakout/arkanoid type games! :D
Unfortunately I couldn't work out a random collision bug, for whatever reason sometime collisions don't work, that's annoying.

Thanks for playing!

Really enjoyed this game! Enjoyed the pong like mechanics but with your own touching up. While opening up the itch page I did notice a small typo where it says "Controls are "A" for moving left and "W" for moving right". I assume you meant to have "D" where W is. Other than that did not notice any issues. Good game.

Developer

Whops, yeah I meant "D", fixed now. Thanks for playing!

This was a neat variant on the traditional breakout game.

Maybe with more time add more things flying around? I found myself just bouncing the ball along the outside of the circle for a long time.

Developer

Yes, I was thinking of introducing corners to break a circling pattern. Thanks for playing!
