The art is cool, the minigames are kinda difficult but it's fun and made me to play and play it again!
(I am now in a rush to test as many games as possible to help, so please do not mind the cursory reviewing style.)
As I thought reading your answer on the constraint and seeing the captures, and as others also said, this is very reminiscent of Wario Ware — although with a clear (thematic) anime twist! The way you captured the Japanese way of silliness is great, including Engrish. Also, laughed at the ‘Are you winning son?’ meme. X) If this was Ludum Dare with the ‘Humor’ criterion, you would definitely get extra points there! ;)
As Phoque stated, way too hard to figure out what to do the first time, but this is the kind of game that is thought as requiring training, hence the score concept.
As Crazy Monkey 68, I think it is great to have managed to obey the constraint both in story and gameplay; you gave it some thought.
The only substantial criticism I could really think of would be that the concept is not so original since this is pretty much Wario Ware, but your twist about only locking/unlocking things still makes it a bit more personal.
Well done!
(By the way, just putting here that my game is pending until I get the submission form.)
PS: totally forgot this important point: controls are QWERTY-only instead of layout-independent (I have an AZERTY keyboard); this made it difficult for me to mentally map the keys to the mouse!
The minigames are pretty fun, tho some of them are a little bit infuriating due to slightly unintuitive and finicky controls. The art also looks quite good, tho the little portrait in the bottom right was very distracting sometimes. Good game!
This is very unique and interesting. It reminded me of the feeling of playing the Made in Wario series, which I enjoyed. I like the mini-game where you have to go through the train, which is indescribably difficult.
Some fun minigames, not all of them tied to the limitation, but art is nice and is anime stylish.
Nice nice game for a weekend, check out the stream with the review! https://www.twitch.tv/devdiaries
Amazing art and I love how you used the limitation in both the story and the gameplay
Very good game! Concept was addictive. Couldn't stop trying to beat my high score!
love the title and concept of this... super creative game, I really enjoyed it -- although its super difficult for a noob like me!
Haha WAT
Very difficult but very well done!
I played this, theres nothing I feel about locked up in a place. Keep repeating and repeating, wheres the locked up? I still playing.... Where's the locked up in a place?... I still playing ya know, I skipped working... Wheres the locked up in place?
Oh shit, this is literally me irl playing this locked up on my chair playing this over and over again -_-
4.9 / 5.0
You may have missed it, but the creators answered through the game jam form.
Really good minigame collection! theres not many here, but its super fun! definitely gonna be in the top 3.
