Fun and simple. The donut assets are probably my favorite part of your game :)

looks really nice and a great choice of a song for the bg music. I kept knocking my poor donuts off the plate after I got to many on the plate

Good job to you are  your teammates.

Nice one! The premise is really simple but the presentation is very charming , all the art is absolutely adorable. Gameplay wise it could use a little more tweaking, throwing donuts itself it pretty fun but wouldn't it be more fun if let's say a streak would give you a bonus? By adding positive reinforcement when the player does well instead of punishment when they do badly, you can prevent them from spamming IF they want to get a high score, but if they want to mess around they'll still be able to fling donuts to their heart's content. Also hearing that you guys are relatively new to jams (the programming side at least), I would like to bring your attention to something called "Object Pools". This is where all the objects we need are instantiated at load time then we activate and deactivate them as we need at runtime. This is due to instantiating and destroying being terrible for performance. (Bring it up cuz I was lagging later on in the game(maybe because I was spamming donuts :P)). Maybe you guys already knew about this but hey, if you didn't then it's a great lil technique to learn! Overall great job, all of you!

Greatly appreciate the honest and constructive feedback Frizuo!  I did not know about the Object Pools, I messaged the dev about your comment. The idea that spamming is a reward, or gets taken away when it breaks is a really good idea. I wondered about the lagging part because it would be more convenient to have the game be more mobile-friendly too. Thank you again for the valuable information, and happy you enjoyed the art ♡

Very nice!!!

A cute and solid entry. As others mentioned, there should be a penalty mechanic because spamming donuts everywhere is the easiest way to make point :P

I think the aesthetic is the strong point of the game, it's really good and cute. You did a great job, well done

Nice entry :)

Nice choice of music, pretty visuals, and I can say for sure I'm craving donuts rn . As others mentioned there could be some penalty for throwing them in the wrong plate, I found out I could get a higher score by spamming click as fast as I could and flooding the plates with random donuts. But ofc, that didn't take away the fun of the game, as I was thrilled to be able to throw so many donuts everywhere.

This is such a cute game and definitely brought a smile on my face. Good job!

Thank you for sharing :) It's helpful noting you had similar critique to others as well! We also thought about giving a cooldown on the donuts before the build, but I loved spam throwing them too much haha. Some kind of penalty seems likely!

such an adorable game! Landing the donuts on the moving dishes were surprisingly challenging, which made the game more engaging. Love the ending note as well—it added a nice touch to the fuzzy look-and-feel.

Aaa happy you played till the end! Good to know there was some challenge.

impressive art it looks very cute
simple concept and simple gameplay
encountered 1 glitch (which is the score doesn't reset after resetting)

and some needed balancing (like giving a penalty for missing dounts and a score multiplier mechanic like getting 3 in a row gets you a 2X stacking multiplier)
and very creative use of the limitation making the donuts the main colors of the pallete

and good sound design the cat sounds are very nice
at the end very nice game

Developer

Thank you so much for your feedback! We actually just updated the game to reset the score after restarting as you wrote this! These are great ideas, and we'll add it to our notes for a future update :)

I'm honoured to be the first to play / rate such a cute game! It just goes to show you don't need deep, complex gameplay to create a fulfilling game - the sounds were all adorable, and I think you guys really did well at creating a cute, chilled out vibe, which is especially impressive given you went with 3D! Super amazing work :)

Omg thank you for the really kind comment! It makes my day to  hear that!!
