Fun stuff. Very nice how you can practice and upgrade your stats before challenging the rabbit. But it seems that it is nearly impossible to beat the rabbit or I am just too bad at racing. As another guy said, the rabbit is a bit overpowered with the instant turn at the corners (part of the "Overpowered" limitation I guess =D) where I have to slow down, change direction and move again. I think making the rabbit wait a bit at corners before accelerating again would make it beatable. Also adding some kind of break button would help a lot with taking corners. Other than that it is a really fun game and a nice take on the limitation. Good job!

Rabbit is definitely harder than intended, I didn't spend much time at all on his behavior, it's possible but definitely tough, you don't want to get too much turn speed! it was rough to find a happy place between "I just outrun him the entire race" and "wow rabbit is fast as hell", and I don't think I actually found it.

Thanks for the feedback! :)

I loved the game concept. The art was really cool too, for some reason it worked really well.

I agree with the rest of the comments, i also played it a litl bit to long XD. i did find it at some point useless to go even faster, because it get incontrollebel, and the rabit is too got at the corners.

I actually really enjoyed the game. I might have played it for a little longer than intended. In the beginning I really did feel like a turtle racing, not so much due to my speed but because of the controls which made me try to be careful and therefore naturally slow down. I very much like that. I also really like that you can practice and upgrade before challenging the rabbit-rolla.

I only found it a bit strange that you can basically just run through entire track and collect all the coins without even starting the race. Ig, it's okay if you can simply investigate the track, but in that case maybe it makes sense to disable the coins if player is not racing. That would also give me an incentive to actually try and collect all the coins during the racing while also trying to keep up the pace.

All in all, a very enjoyable entry. Great job!

I appreciate the thorough feedback, and I'm real glad you liked it! I admittedly wasted a lot of time trying to get highscores, haha. I was going to box the turtle in the finish "block" when the race wasn't going originally, but I guess I just never got around to doing it, there's a bunch more things I wanted to do with coins and the tracks but couldn't realistically fit in time :')

Thank you!

The upgrade mechanic is great. I did a couple upgrades on speed and then got smoked by the rabbit, which inspired me to go back to training and do a lot of upgrades. The second rabbit race was no contest :)

I had fun making the tortoise going super-fast and racing the hare! Making the tortoise go light speed is a very concept! 🐢
