Excellent UI and great idea of putting the character in UI with joysticks to sell the immobile part.

Thanks for the review! Glad you liked it :)

Finished the game, and loved the idea of having the character use joysticks showing how he is immobile.

The game is 3D so I get how you might have had a harder time developing than 2D games, also I see that you're a solo developer which is amazing btw that you finished this alone. I'll go directly to my only feedback and criticisms now.

First is optimization, by optimization, I mean making the game run on less lag or low-end devices. I don't know if it's just me but the game runs very very poorly on my PC. I have a below than nowadays standard PC but pretty sure it's not low-end and should be able to run this with proper code optimizations. Optimization can be in the form of lowering graphical elements or even code that runs unnecessarily, not really knowledgeable on Unreal Engine but really would be good if it is smoother to run.

Another, not that impactful  to my rating to the game but maybe as one of the reviews said the file could somehow be playable on the browser to get more ratings, not as important as my other points but useful.

Overall, the game is actually really good for first of all a solo developer, and for being a 3D game in a 3-Day gamejam. I also think the game could have been a fun experience if I didn't encounter any hassles during downloading the file and the lag I really badly experienced. Besides from the issues I encounter the game is good enough to play with its cute and aesthetic design. Congrats on finishing a game and Good Luck!

Thanks a lot for playing and for the review!

I didn't spend much time on optimization because I thought it wouldn't be needed since it's a short game anyway and with a low amount of polygons or models, but reading what you wrote I assume that in fact it would be needed, I'll keep this in mind for any future project.

Thanks!

Liked the idea, and the way that the game looks is cool.  It makes me want to make something like that too.

Thank you for playing!

Go for it :)

So here's the thing Lalle. I really wanted to play your game. The artwork in the thumbnail looks interesting and you have racked up some good karma and I like to reward that. I prefer playing in the browser than downloading because my anti virus yells at me and your game also needed me to download C++ to run and then it wanted me download a driver. My point is you would probably get more people rating the game if it was a bit more accessible

Since its Christmas, I ignored the various warnings and downloaded it and really enjoyed it. Visually very strong and I found the narration funny and thought it was a great use of the limitation. Great game!

Thank you so much for playing!

I know, I suffer from this problem a lot because my game is made using Unreal Engine 5 and I don't think it has native support for web apps, also it's the only engine I know how to use well...
I didn't know it was this tedious to start UE games, especially with the "download C++"  and driver thing.
I guess I'll have to learn some Unity or Godot before joining a game jam again.
Thanks for the tip!

I mean a lot of amazing games have come out of Unreal. I sure knowing how to use it certainly won't have been a waste of your time :)

Glad I took the opportunity to download this, the presentation, concept, and use of theme and limitation is brilliant here! The intro cutscene and premise was also really funny, just a generally really charming game great job
