Use of the limitation
I made a foddian style game. The idea is that because you'll be falling back to the beginning it will feel like you're caught in a loop. Also winning just puts you back to the beginning as well but with a trophy :)

Fun game, the audio and graphics are really endearing and contrast nicely with how frustrating the gameplay can be. I'm not good enough to make it to the end (best attempt was a very brief glimpse of the 4th level) but it felt fair for the most part. I had a few issues with bounces being inconsistent without it being clear what had changed, and I found the camera movement between screens a bit jarring as others have pointed out. It also might be worth giving a slightly more generous initial jump as just getting onto the first mushroom of the 3rd screen was a lot more fiddly than it needed to be. Overall a great effort given the timeframe, it felt good enough to make me want to keep trying which is (in my opinion at least) the most important thing for these kinds of games.
Thanks so much for giving it a play and the constructive feedback.
The inconsistent bounces is definitely an issue. I'm calculating the physics in a dumb way and it manifested as such. Time constraints made me press on with other things though. Since I knew it was beatable I left it as is, but once the voting period is over I'm going to go and fix it up a bit.
I knew a couple of my design choices might be controversial i.e. the small jump and camera. The jump I wanted to force reliance on the mushrooms, I actually debated not having any jump at all. As for the camera, I stick behind it. However I'm sure my level design could use some polishing to really take advantage of the camera movement. I think it subconsciously makes the player count screens, which gives you a real measure of progress. You know exactly how many screens you've conquered, and you know exactly how many screens you've lost when you fall.
But I am rambling now. Thanks much again for the play and the feedback :)
it was fun and i loved the art and it was a nice game and i had fun overall but i had to think a bit to see how it fits the limitation but overall good game!
It's so nice. But i can't pass to the third level :'C
Congratulations, nice work!
The background music was very cute!
Gosh this was tough! I didn't manage to make it to the top, but I'd like to imagine I got close :D And hey, at least I got further than Efe!! >:) I think the idea of the bouncy mushrooms was so fun! 🍄 And I like how the green diamond things end up actually being like really helpful when it comes to making some jumps!
The camera movement threw me off too at first but I got used to it after a bit so it didn't end up bothering me too much ^.^)
But anyways, nice work! :) ♡
Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback :) I don't think anyone in the jam besides myself has beaten it yet so you're probably the top climber :D
Cozy visuals, love the mushroom bounce sound effect, I got stuck pretty bad after a few screens tho and stuff like the first jump where you skip between screens mid air is really disorienting :c I think you have a solid concept game but it s hard to play - I did enjoy my time with it tho!
Thanks for the play and feedback :)
I definitely knew I made it a bit too hard but since it's supposed to be in the same genre as Getting Over It and Jump King I left it as is. And I actually ripped the camera straight from Jump King as well, but I'm sure my level design could use some work to make it feel more natural.
