Software used
Unity, Blender, Gimp

Use of the limitation
Many parts of the world are smallest possible: catamarans only have two crew members, on an island there can be only two places, villages have max 3 people, there is only a dozen islands scattered around on a small piece of ocean. Also your ship's cargo is very small. Run your mini empire and try to survive!

Cookies eaten
Probably around five during party with my friend

Like the earlier comments have said, there's a bit of choppiness. Seems like it doesn't figure in the Windows version. Didn't really bother me, though.

What was a bit hard to get over was wrapping my head around the game. An in-game tutorial could've gone a long way - I didn't even know how exactly to move the catamaran until I figured out it was RTS controls. I can tell there's a very solid game here, especially for the deadline and amount of team members (beautiful visuals!) but once I thought i had it all figured out the game would zoom in to an island camera which I have no idea how to untoggle. Thus ended what I thought would be a good run, and for shame. The game's idea certainly is nice.

Sadly, the zoom sometimes happened (it shouldn't work like that) though I tried to fix it, I just ran out of time. Again, for some reason it only happened in the browser version as far as I know.

It was a fun game but ran very poorly

Yes, unfortunately the shaders (probably) got too complex for the browser, so I recommend downloading, Windows version should run completely smooth

did that, went much better

I really like the aesthetics, just ran little slow on my machine. Big scale naval battles were fun

The game is very pretty, but very confusing. Nothing is explained and it feels very janky, like how you can't (or atleast I could not figure out how) add food to a boat after removing it, and I feel very removed from what happens in the game. I send out a boat to fight another one, and then the cubes jump for a few minutes. Also not having actual panning was annoying since I need to move the camera fast. I didn't really understand what I was doing, (like what the point of flint is or how to get more wood) so I ended up just building a boat whenever I could and trying to get them to explore. And then 20 boats showed up and killed all my guys. I really do like the art though, it just needs more focus on gameplay and maybe a tutorial.

Also I find it funny that you answered "cookies eaten" seriously, and it wasn't zero :P

Edit: I decided to give the game another shot and I had a lot of fun! I really loved the feeling of finding and exploring a new island for resources. The game is very hard but I've never been good at these types of games. I enjoyed it though, 5/5!

Thanks for playing and reviewing! Loved that you tried another time :D

For anyone else interested: resources are for trading and purchasing new catamarans and villages. You can gather them on islands with resources, collect from your villages or trade with neutral villages.

But I probably should fix some bugs regarding pirates...
