First I thought the game felt just uninteresting, too slow, not very good looking (the space is still nice)... and sure, it's still too slow to start. But the new good lookin (!) enemies and challenge after that was enough, nice almost hypnotic evading. Also I just kept spacebar pressed so it was nicer to shoot (before that I didn't like the shooting... and still didn't but it's ok). I'm not a gamer at all but I'd still kind of wish for even more challenge, some more bullet hell feel. Or at least even more extra speed (this is the biggest con imo)... maybe it sped up but I didn't feel it was speedy. And while a space shooter isn't the most original idea, it's still fun and appreciable. It lagged a bit for me at few points though, but to me it still actively feels while playing that there's something technical behind it that's well done too.

I really liked your end screen.

Fire rate feels awful, specifically when you are on a single shot against multi hit enemies. Perhaps a mechanic like  really old shooters where you can shoot again once your bullet collided? That way going up close has like a risk/reward sort of thing.

Developer

Thanks for playing :) Yeah you’re probably right wrt the firing rate, they do technically have separate fire rates per gun but i really didn’t work on that enough for it to be any sort of useful feature so i probably should’ve done away with it altogether and just simplified it, something to keep in mind for next time :)

It's very smooth! Altho the start button kinda blended with the menu, Good Job!  XD

Developer

Hahah yeah, i should’ve really thought about the contrast of the button :D But thanks for playing!

Fun little shoot 'em up! I had a couple of issues with low contrast, got hit by a cloud before I realised it wasn't just background and it took an embarrassing amount of time to figure out where the start button was, but other than that it looks great!

Hahah yeah thats my fault for putting a blue button on a blue planet!! Im glad you had fun though :)

I also spent too much time looking for the start button.

Fun game!
The concept works and the gameplay is engaging :)
It would have been cool if enemies dropped powerups, that would give the player a bit more incetive to kill them.

Thanks for playing! :) I did want to do more with the enemies, having them shoot back/ drop items. Never made it in unfortunately :(
