Very fun! The sound got a little grating, but the game itself was lots of fun and a neat little almost-puzzle game. I really enjoyed the thematic art and the language you used, it all felt very tied together and like a genuinely complete project.

Glad you enjoyed it! May I ask which sound effects got grating? I was worried the music might get grating cause I couldn't find many long loops of chiptune music online

The chiptunes were fine, it was mostly just the sound effects - I think maybe even turning them down would have helped

Ah gotcha, thanks for the feedback!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I had a blast creating it, felt like I learned so much

There's no other way to put this, this game is great. Fun from when I hit play to when I finished the game, reminds me very much of Chip's Challenge. The controls felt a *little* unresponsive occasionally, and got me dead, but nothing terrible.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Makes my work worth it. I looked up Chip's Challenge and I see the resemblance there with the graphics and grid-based movement. My b on the controls there, I made them in the first few minutes of the jam and meant to go back and tune them up but just completely forgot lmao

I really enjoyed the art style. Gameplay was great too.

Hi, I loved this game. I liked the idea so much, it's like The Snake on steroids. The game gives you a chance to improvise - I started covering myself with bulls, so enemies can't reach me. Great work with level design - the level with only one doggo, already being angry at the start is so fun to play. Good job. :D

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed my game! It seems you found the big brain strategy of using bull meat shields. Your praise is really encouraging for me to continue doing this especially since I really loved and admired your game. Cheers!

I found the art simple but effective,  everything  that's happening is clear and the sound effects match the art style . The gameplay is also matching that description of simple but effective.

I like the idea of a kind of Snake game but growing a hoard of cows instead haha :).

I found the level design well done.

I didn't get that far, the dog was a bit too tough for me.

Good job.

Thanks for the praise! Simple but effective was exactly what I was going for since I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew for my first game.
