You guys NAILED THIS. Loved the vibe the little story and the depth of the mechanics. Great work!
aw thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed that lil cheesy plot, shoehorned it in last minute before the submission :p
Really good. Some bugs with placement and I wish you could click through the text, but it just has so much juice. Following along the laser as it fires is a really smart idea.
Appreciate it! I was actually really happy with how great the laser firing animations and VFXs turned out, I was super rusty and didn't game dev much for a few months already, the Jam was a good experience for practicing. I had to admit I spent too much time debugging the laser though and didn't have time to help out Bamboo(teammate) with bug fixing on his side.
Really good game, I love the animation for the firing and the visuals !
There are just some glitches for placing blocks sometimes.
Nice gameplay idea and really good amount of polish. I liked the work you put into VFX and making some shop system for a feel of progression. Only thing I found a bit frustrating is the speed at which text appears (A bit too slow). Other than that fun experience!
Thanks alot! We actually have a few other place-able buildings/props thought out, but we were short of time and spent too much time trying to squash a few bugs(still had alot in the end though sadly). Props to Bamboo01 for coding the dialogue system from scratch mid-way through the jam, I think it added to the whole experience. ( I do agree that the first level has a tad too much dialogue and slowness though haha)
This game is wery good...
