The graphics are great. That paper effect on the charecter works like a charm. the music is soothing and fits perfectly. What a great job you have done.

Thanks! I think the music really creates the mood I was going after. Thanks to Mubsi for that!

Glad you enjoyed the music! First time trying medieval styled music with instruments so I'm happy you liked the outcome.

This was so creative and unique!! Don't think i've played a game that's used text quite like this before -really awesome!!!  A lot of fun using the wrong things on new game + xD Funny and super fun all the way through!! :D

This is such a cool and creative concept! I really enjoyed trying out the weird combinations I could do from playing as a guard trying to get to his soup, or playing as a key trying to get to a frog. I can tell this was thought out really well, so nice work :D

Developer

Thanks! I tried to come up with unique reactions to different situations, but didn't have time to control everything - for example, you mentioned guard going after soup. This combination actually softlocks the game since you cannot tell granny that you want soup (as the word is already used up). I'll try to update the game after the jam to be more thorough :)

Cute art to be sure and I liked the different options you offer the player

Thanks for compliments, I hadn't painted in this style before, so I'm happy it turned out not bad :)

Wow this is such an awesome concept! Restarting with key words is clever and this game is really funny! Probably my favorite use of the limitation so far!

Thanks for kind words, I'm glad you liked it :)

I have never been soup before, and it feels so good.

Seriously this game is so cleverly designed and fun as all hell.  Amazing job!

Developer

Thanks! To be honest, until sunday I had only a vague idea what the story would be. But as I started to think about the characters rest of it kinda came naturally.

Then as I playtested I always thought how somebody would react to this or that and added such dialogue.

And they started Cooking Jam!

I really like the idea. Some really funny combinations. Hilarious to be a soup and walk up to the guard who just eats you.

Thanks! I really wanted to add a lot of different interactions, I'm glad you found them to be amusing.
