I have no idea how to code using regular coding programs, and I'm on a Chromebook. I don't think that I can download coding software on a Chromebook. By regular, I mean programs like javascript.

I guess technically you could but you need to be able to submit the game to Itch

i guess i could leave a link in a javascript project with a tutorial.

you can put your scratch game id into this: htmlifier to get it as an html file that you can probably embed in an itch page

That's what I'm doing.

i used scratch in a few jams and i just made the project as download and made it so you can download my art and the link to the game is in the describtion

Ok, thank you, everyone! This is my first ever game jam, so the advice is apreciated. Can me and my brother work on this? I'm not good at visuals, and he is.

I don't see why not. There's no rules against working in groups. Just put his name or username somewhere (at least on the itch page write "art by my brother")

Hey! This is also my first jam! Awesome!

I use scratch and it's pretty good you’ll do great

You colud use construct 3. Is browser based and visual coding too. (It even works on a school chromebook!)

Ok, thanks! I am on a school Chromebook, and it might be easier due to the limitation.

How do you change the size of the construct 3 tilemap grid? It's 10 by 10, and I don't know how to change it.

nevermind just figured it out

You could try to use Godot. It can be compiled to work on chromebook, or you can try web version if the editor. But if you’re stuck to Scratch 3, than you can make your project to .html (via phosphorus for example) and upload to itch.io page as normal.

Thanks! I finished my entry!

Do you wanna enter my jam? Here's the link.

my project deleted its self

i have no idea how to do this

im gonna leave the jam

to do what? don’t leave. I’ll help you fix your problem. What is it?

I can't go onto any other page for too long or else my project deletes itself.

You could use GDevelop5 its an easy to use and learn open source game engine that doesn't require coding experience and its what i use then collabing since its easy to learn to i just tell my team members to learn GDevelop during the jam! Also you can use it in your browser
