Simple and boring. Interesting idea, though traditionally vampires have no reflection, so kind of spoiled it for me.
As I have said to other commenters, this is the point of the game, when he is in front of a mirror, he cannot see his reflection, thus reminding him of who he is, a vampire.
Oh... I get it now. It's the fact that he can't see his reflection that triggers him. Got it, explanations don't always get through to me if they aren't worded perfectly.
I liked the pixel graphics. I wish you would have made Space the jump button, using W and then A or D gets a bit awkward at times. Besides that neat concept!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. With your concerns on the controls, I understand your problem, but I had no trouble with movement, so I didn't implement a space bar jump.
Yeah echoing that the jumping is kind of buggy and gets in the way of platforming. cool interpretation of the theme though!
I also had the same problems with jumping as adroitconceptions said.
The ideea of the game, the graphics and the music are pretty good tho.
nice pixel graphics
reasonable sound
interesting interpretation of the mirror theme. I was expecting that 'seeing yourself' not touching the mirrors was going to be the trigger.
I ran into some issues with the jump where at times I couldn't jump.
Hi, thank you for voicing your opinions. The reason he dies upon trigger is because he's a vampire, he can't see himself, so he is reminded of who he truly is and dies of shame. I do understand the platforming issues, this is my first tutorial-unassisted game, so I couldn't work out some kinks of the platforming, will definitely work on that next time.
