Fun, but frustrating. I had a good time playing this (though hard mode was basically impossible for my 5 centimetres cubed of brain). The main things I would say it that the hitboxes aren't perfect when in terms of getting the timing right, and the attack doesn't feel quick enough and hence not responsive enough. In terms of sound, the music track was good and totally fit the tone and atmosphere, but didn't feel melodic or rhythmic enough for a rhythm game like this. As well with sound, I'd say it would heavily benefit from more punchy sound effects - to really emphasise the whole "swing on the beat" and it would really mark out the rhythm. The sound effect you used is more of a soft "whoosh" sound, which blends in quite a lot with the music. For a rhythm game you really want to show how you are hitting to the rhythm, and punchy sounds normally help that. Overall, really good job and well done on the game!

Cool idea, I just had a problem with timing the punches, it felt like sometimes the attack wasn't in the right time, when it could :)

Really cool game and concept, the artstyle is amazing and I love the main menu design! I feel like the gameplay could benefit from adding bigger hitboxes that are now a bit too challenging in my opinion, but it was a fun experience nonetheless :) great job!

Thank you Becca! We'll definitely look into the hitboxes after voting has finished :)

This looks amazing and very polished! It was really hard to time it perfectly, but besides that, amazing job!

Thanks!

That’s some very high level of polish for a game jam! The visuals and the sounds blend perfectly. You did an amazing job with that. On the side of gameplay, it’s simple but quite challenging. Was I really that bad, or maybe the window were you can hit enemy is very thin ^^

Really well done!

Thank you for your kind comments! The timing is pretty thin, yes. It was our first experiment with rhythm, so it was challenging finding balance.

Really enojyed  this game! Couldn't stop retrying! Felt like the hitboxes were a little smol at times and could be bigger and you could penalize them with less points for less accuracy instead. Also hard mode was impossible in the best way. Great job! =)

Thanks for your feedback, Cole!

Really nice looking game, the art and the music are great but feel like the bat hitbox is way too small, I can never get hits on them and they always take one of my health.

good game,good job,good team

This has a nice level of polish to it. I found that i was missing some kind of rythmic music to go with the enemies reaching the hit circle, but a fun game overall.
