I really enjoyed the arrow physics! some of the tile collisions were a little sharp on the stairs, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. great job!
Thanks !
a good mix of elements where everything was pretty close to being amazing. Still really great; I look forward to see what you do in future jams.
Thanks and Sure !
It's pretty neat and clear on its terms, so that's refreshing (coming out of my gamedev moments)
Nothing fancy but solid gameplay, and that's always a plus! Congrats to you and your partner! Thanks for making it!!
Your Welcome and Thanks for playing and leaving a review !
Hahaa what was up with the toilet by the lava??? Anyway, those sound effects reminded me of old Newgrounds games I grew up on so I love that nostalgia factor. You did a good job designing levels, my suggestion would be (and it pains me to say it because it saved my ass hardcore) don't have the enemies bullets disappear when they die. Congrats on your first jam, here is to many more Brother!
Hi there! First of all thanks a lot for playing our game and the valuable feedback! secondly, the toilet by the lava was supposed to be an easter egg but I could not hide it properly, and coming to the fireballs thrown by the mage, I could not think of a way to make it not disappear cause we used the method of instancing for shooting... THANK YOU!
Well, can change it in the future. Make the fireballs child of the scene root instead of the mage, and that's probably something it needs anyway. As it is, I think the fireballs would also move if the mage moved, which didn't occur to me because I never got around to making the mages move.
I really liked environment and the sound/ambience, nice design going on there. I don't know if it's intended, but the arrows colliding with each other created interesting scenarios, like allowing me to hit enemy's over an edge. Could've used more polish of course, but the only thing that really bothered me was when you're going down stairs, you walk into the air. Overall, I had fun with this entry.
Thanks and yes there are a lot have glitches , some are in the game and some are cause of browser ig. ill try to fix the stair glitch (obviously not gonna update it on itch) ^^
I loved the ambient sounds and level design. The bow sound is a stark contrast, almost comical. The leves reminded me of a soulslike or dead cells style environment.
I also really like that you gave us access to all levels indidivually, that way one can play everything and if one gets stuck it isn't the end of the game.
Player could use some animation and I feel like the enemies were either too easy to beat or way to unfair with their projectiles.
Solid entry!
Good job on your first jam!
Overall good world design. I liked the parallax effect as well as the atmosphere.
Unfortunately the sound didn't fit the dungeon. It is more of a forest at night sound, while the game takes place in a dungeon. When I heard the howling I expected some dog enemy charging at me, but that never happened. I only realized later that that was just ambient sound.
Look up some drone sound effects or make your own. You can create a creepy track by slapping random things in your room while breathing into the microphone. Reverse track, change pitch and you're done.
Level 4 broke for me (arrows get stuck in the air when firing). In some levels the mages where placed rather unforgiving. I feel like some additional hit points wouldn't hurt ether.
