The concept is really cool and the title screen artwork was weird but pretty cool too, The particles were clean and very pretty. A tutorial would be nice to work out what you are doing at the beggining but other than that good job.

OK the idea is very good and original, but it needs a tutorial and a rework on the waves. It is pretty hard at the start. On the other hand, I loved the music and SFXs, and the gameplay feels good. With those little things fixed could be a great game!

Man I don't know what even I was expecting going into it. I enjoyed it - I would tweak it so picking up items is automatic but what a great theme.

Really enjoyed it after I wrapped my head around what I was meant to be doing.

Gunseed is wild my man. It's a tough wave shooter so fair warning to any slow people who try this one. This dev is a total masochist and I love him for it. Also checked out the devlog on his youtube which was really fun to see, game jams are hard but you made it look easy my man!

I loved this, the difficulty is a bit hard off the bat; the early game preparation felt woefully inadequate and it took a few games before I figured out the pay to swap tools and the growth system.

Level 4. 

The game's idea is really creative, however there are very big issues with the current state so I can't say I enjoy playing it a lot. 

1) No tutorial, yea that pretty much speak for itself.

2) I saw on the discord server that you mentioned you broke the wave system, yea this wave system is beyond broken at the moment, it's practically impossible to plant anything after the first 15 second so, that's like the major point of the game just out of the window.

3) The gunplay is very doom-like, which I actually quite like, but it lacks several quality of life features like bullet count etc

4) The worst part is that you need to pick up the coin on your own, at that point you are already jugging like 18 balls at once in the game, and the collision on them is wacky, I couldn't even quickly run by and pick them up because E just doesn't work unless I stand completely still and aim straight at it. 

Really it just boils down to the gameplay curve being worse than COVID-19's curve, other than that, I think the game have some pretty solid foundation for a good game in it.

Brutal is right! Dang! My high score was 22. Stressful was also correct. This game is scary! D: But it's clearly well-made and works well. Like somebody else said, it might have been better with a little bit more of a tutorial (the first round I didn't realize how renting the hoe and watering can worked, oops), but it definitely did what it set out to do! Good job!

yes i agree 100%. i had to choose between either making a tutorial or cutting the monster that destroys your trees. without the destroying trees there's no point to the money / shop system really so i went with the monster. if i revisit this game after the jam though i am definitely going to do a lot of re-balancing and make a tutorial . thank you so much for playing it <3

This is fun! It's a little hectic trying to figure out how the game works while getting attacked, but that just happens the first time. Maybe it'd benefited from a tutorial, but that's nitpicking. Especially because you made this within 48 hours :)

this game has a very interesting premise behind it, i like how you have to farm guns and then use those guns to shoot enemies. its a really neat idea! however i found it quite difficult to even get to the stage where i can get guns and once i did there were so many enemies on screen that it became near impossible to even collect them. the difficulty curve goes up way too fast in my opinion. perhaps increase the amount of time in between rounds? i feel like that would help the gameplay quite a bit. but overall the game was quite polished and the idea behind it was pretty great too! :D

This is great, got to wave 5! I like the idea of trying to farm in a bullet hell, fun stuff.
